I returned this item. It did not perform as described. It may have been just this item that was faulty, but I also did not like that the keyboard had to be charged separately.

Has to recharge regularly. Does not hold a charge for very long. Has a delay when trying to type. Its not very convenient, other than providing great physical protection for the device.

It didn't work from day one and it was very heavy for a 60 with arthritis to handle.

It gets stuck when I try to open it and it comes apart. I am trying to return it.

Hinges on this keyboard become harder to open as time wears on.

It's hard to open without it snapping the tablet out of the little holder. It is so stiff and hard. I have older version that is smooth like butter. The tablet part doesn't ever sit right in it. It will probably break sooner than later. I am really bummed because zagg usually is 5 star performer. I should really return it but my kids need it for remote learning

It seemed like an excellent price, however, the value was not there as the keyboard had several letters that would not work. It proved very frustrating and had to be returned.

Worst case ever! iPad does not turn off or screen go off when case is shut. Screen does not stay in place when open. Be careful because the whole top of the case with the iPad will fall off.

This case is so difficult to open that it almost broke my iPad. It also has nothing to prop it up if using it without the keyboard case. I would avoid this case and go with something else.

Constantly disconnected keyboard from Bluetooth and would not re-pair at times. Case was good quality but returned two due to connectivity issues.

Bought it for my husband's iPad and it wouldn't hold a charge or power up. Seems it was defective straight out of the package.

There was a warning from other purchasers but I didn’t pay attention. Should have as the hinge design is weak and breaks.

Broke after about 40 days. Will no longer connect to the iPad much less power on.

A 3 foot drop and tablet still shattered. Looks like great protection, but really isn't. Might as well save your money.

The letters V and something else do not work. Sending it back.

This thing is tough. I do a lot of field work with my iPad and this case is exactly what I needed. It even has a magnet in the hinge that helps it stick to my work bench.

I have owned the 9.7 and 10.2 version of this. I loved it and thought it was great. The 9.7 had a hinge problem where the hinge would not grip the tablet and the tablet would pull out of the hinge and just kept getting looser. Had it replaced and has been fine but not perfect since. I purchased a 10.2 iPad and waited patiently for zagg to have a version of the rugged book that fit. Finally was able to order and have been very frustrated with the changes. I have returned it 3 times for the hinge failure. After minimal use when you try to open it or move the angle for viewing there is a loud crack which makes you think you have broken the tablet and the tablet comes out of the hinge. It gets so bad that you have to manually hold the hinge and adjust without the tablet attached. The tablet sits so loose that it can literally fall out of the hinge if carried without paying attention. The return process has been a nightmare. I was charged $12 to deliver the first replacement. $6 to deliver the second replacement after significant negative interaction with zagg. When I called recently to let them know that the last replacement had failed after six months I was informed that the warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do. They offered me 35% off a new product. When I asked to speak with a supervisor they took my information and I have still not heard back. Do not buy this. I bothers me to say this but it has a design flaw with the new hinge and will fail. The changes to the ports by adding covers which apply significant adverse pressure on the jacks was stupid as well. I work in mechanical design and this was a major fail.
