A: I had the same issue. It appeared the Bluetooth transmit/receive became intermittent.
A: It is magnetically held in place for easy removal. The screen and key board open like a book. This will loosen after a little use, so don't worry about it breaking.

A: yes it does however the way this is design you might crack your ipad screen (as it did mine) at the area where the keyboard folds into the ipad. At the fold is where this product weakness is. overall good product.
