Perfec
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Couldn't be happier. Great bass, great center speaker and all around great value. Owned an A/V receiver but had 3 HDMI cables, power cable, six speaker wires and all was a mess. Unboxed the product and within an hour, had everything hooked up bluetooth with just one power cable for the sound bar and one for the sub. I also added the surround speakers for full 5.1 experience which I will review separately.

AMAZING SOUNDBAR!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This soundbar had everything I wanted and for the price it was very reasonable! My favorite option was that I am able to add additional wireless speakers should I choose to purchase them in the future! I also like how you can connect everything without the use of cords. I currently have it installed above my TV on my pitched wall!

Samsung HW-T650 3.1ch Soundbar with 3D Surround
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Three stars are fair for a device of this caliber. Let’s discuss setup. It was simple. The subwoofer connected to the soundbar with ease. If you have a Samsung TV, the options that are displayed on soundbar’s display are also shown on the TV screen. What is the deal? Why are we returning to the 1990’s when receivers displayed their options on the LCD screen as opposed to the TV screen? There is no reason now a days why settings cannot be displayed on the TV regardless of TV brand. Heat distribution. I noticed that this soundbar generates quite a bit of heat as normal listening levels. I am beginning to understand why there have been reports of malfunctioning soundbars. Naturally, if you use your soundbar at high levels, the bar will generate more heat. If the vents on the bottom of the bar are blocked, this will cause the circuitry to overheat. There is not enough air space using the pads the soundbar sits on. I have elevated my soundbar to allow improved air flow. (Samsung, I know you’re watching!) My configuration consists of all Samsung devices. One would think that there wouldn’t be any compatibility issues, right? Nope, not the case. For example, the video pass through which neither the manufacturer or Best Buy appear to concentrate on. I ran into a problem when connecting my Samsung UBD-M8500 Blu-ray to the HDMI input of the soundbar. The video resolution on the Blu-Ray was set to 2160p and apparently, the highest video resolution that will be passed through the HW-T650 is 1080p. Needless to say, I spent an hour and a half on the phone with Samsung Technical Support trying to figure out the problem. Needless to say, we dd not come to a resolution. We had gone over and over the connections to the HDMI inputs of the TV, and the HDMI inputs of the soundbar. The average configuration is as follows, TV HDMI (ARC) to Soundbar HDMI (ARC). External Device (this case a Blu-ray player) HDMI Out to HDMI In of the Soundbar. After getting off the phone, I reset the Blu-ray player to the default settings. Which set the resolution to “Auto”. Now I am able to view my Blu-Ray discs which is being down converted to 1080p. This is my reason for the three stars. Sound quality is satisfactory. I noticed that when using my Samsung TV (UN65NU8000) the TV speakers sound is a tad louder than the soundbar speakers at the same volume level. But that is not to say that this unit will not get loud. If you execute the “Pre-programmed Demo”, this is an example on just how loud this system will get. It all depends on the “source” that the information is coming from. For example, when pairing your phone and listening to music. People have complained it was low. Check the volume level in the media player on your phone. Chances are, it is at a low setting. The subwoofer gives off a nice thrust of bass. The only issue is, the configuration is different from most subs, and trying to figure out how to position it can be somewhat of a challenge (Side Speaker/ back port). I would also like to know why manufacturers neglect to show the speakers in the soundbar. I am sure people would like to know just how many tweeters/ midrange drivers are available. When I purchase standalone speakers, I remove the grill, so why not the soundbar?????? Right? Of course right!

Incredible sound for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.First time buying a sound bar, decided to go with the 3 channel instead of the two, as the price difference wasn’t a deal breaker for me. The sound is beautiful! It sounds great at both low volumes and high. Subwoofer is just enough base, giving our family room an awesome theater-like sound. Easy to mount to the wall and hide the wires as well (glad it came with the mounting kit!). Very pleased.

AMAZING
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Purchased the display model for $100 LESS than original price... Sound system is Ridiculous!! Definitely want to purchase this if you have a Samsung Smart TV & Rear Speaker Kit!!

Excellent Bass
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This sound bar is GREAT considering it’s only the bar and a woofer, but I can feel bass in the air through the entire home theater room. Sometimes it does feel like the upper frequency just gets played lower, but that could just be how the shows are filmed. If I didn’t already have this I’d buy it again.

Sound of the gods
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.A solid and good Sound bar . Sound coming from it sounds Crisp and the base Is Booming. It was exactly what I was looking for. I ended up getting the rear speakers also to intensify the surroundsound was not a let down. The only thing I didn’t like about that was that they weren’t really wireless like they said the are but the Sound bar and subwoofer is wireless.

Soundbar upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Purchased this Soundbar as an upgrade to the previous Samsung Soundbar we had. Easy set up, good sound, HDMI connection allows me to use our tv remote for sound. Happy with the purchase, value priced.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between a 2.1 channel & a 3.1 channel set up? And can you explain what channels mean? Thanks
Asked by Novice.
- A:Answer Hey Novice - A 2.1 soundbar has a left and right channel (dedicated speakers) and the .1 or any number after the point is the low level or subwoofers in a setup. . A soundbar having 3.1 has the left , right and a dedicated center channel for your vocals , giving you better clarity for dialog and a subwoofer for bass. ^Jason
Answered by Samsung
Q: QuestionSo if one's hearing needs better spoken dialogue, a 3.1 channel sound bar will help?
Asked by Norb.
- A:Answer Norb, the HW-T650 has a dedicated center channel, which focuses on dialogue. Approximately 70% of your dialogue will come from the center channel on your soundbar, allowing for clear and improved dialogue. ^Gina

Q: QuestionWill this sound bar and subwoofer work with Samsung Q8 series? Does it need blue tooth? What other accessories are needed?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Hi! Yes, all of our Samsung soundbars will be compatible with our Samsung TVs. The Soundbar will include the recommended cable to connect to the TV, or you can take advantage of the wireless Bluetooth connection from the soundbar to the TV. No additional accessories are needed to get your audio up and running! ^Tim

Q: QuestionI have and older Samsung UN60F8000BF TV. Does not seem to have optical audio output. Is there an adaptor to convert Optical audio cable to whatever my TV needs?
Asked by BK.
- A:Answer Hi BK! This soundbar supports one HDMI input and one HDMI output. If your TV does not support Digital Optical Audio, you can run your HDMI source into the HDMI input on the soundbar, then connect the soundbar to an available HDMI port on the TV via the soundbars HDMI output.^Tim

Q: QuestionIs the sub-woofer side firing? It looks like it in the photos but I can't tell for sure. I have a perfect spot for it but its between two cabinets so side firing wouldn't work for me.
Asked by Jerry.
- A:Answer Yes, it is a side firing speaker and will not achieve optimal sound if placed in area with limited space.
