Q: Can the detachable speakers be ceiling mounted atmos drivers?
A: Thanks for your question. The detachable speakers of our JBL Bar 1000MK2 are designed to be used as left and right rear speakers. While you can try mounting them on the ceiling, it’s not recommended, as they’re not intended for that setup. Please note that the detachable speakers need to be charged when the battery runs low, either by docking them back to the main bar or using a USB-C cable, and you should also keep them within range of the main bar to avoid wireless interference.

Great sound bar
Amazing sound. Removable speakers can be plugged in for permanent positioning. The only downside is that many of the features have to be accessed through a mobile device app.

Terrible
Terrible purchase. Right speaker didnt work when it wasn’t docked and it wouldnt charge. I exchanged it and after 3 days same issue. I was told it was a defect but surround sound was really low when speakers werent docked. For $1200 there are better ones. This by far was one of the worst purchases
