Good item for the price.

Plus you get the charging cradle which can act as a vertical stand (except if you have installed a cover, then it becomes too large for the charger to hold).

Not quite universal

It barely does fit my galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition; however, it does not fit well with the Samsung flip case installed. The tablet feels like it will easily fall over when plugged in. I could not find useful compatibility information on the best buy or Samsung product pages. The dock does feel sturdy and well made. I just don't trust the strength of the USB plug to support my tablet. It would probably work better with a Samsung phone.

Q: QuestionI'm the age of pencil and paper. How do I use this?I purchase a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and have been experiencing charger/cable issues from various manfrs. On your "Chat" a very helpful woman guided me to this product. Would I need a wall charger itself along with purchasing this Multimedia Dock? How does this Dock work? Does the cell phone stand up in this? What's the difference between a Powerstation XL External Battery Pack Charger, bc I may be interested in this type of charging? Also, can you recommend a wall charger and cable for my device? No Insignia brand, as they've been nothing but problems. I realize I've got a lot of questions and apologize for this. As I said I'm a 50 year old (disabled) -"pen and paper generation" - woman with absolutely no technical experience, and bc I am disabled I cannot go to a Best Buy store for assistance. - A:Answer A charging dock is very helpful as you can put it on the charger upright and you can just plug it in anywhere next to you and it's functions will work as it's charging. I will also recommend if you have a Samsung that you purchase a Samsung charger, I've experienced that they work better and faster than other name brand chargers. As for the External Battery pack charger, you would have to remove the battery from the phone and place it in the charger and plug it in the socket. Hope this was helpful.

- A:Answer Probably. Just be careful of the size of any case you install on your phone. The construction is good and will probably work well with any phone with the micro USB plug on the bottom. I do not trust it to support my galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition which is much more awkward in landscape on the dock than a phone standing in portrait orientation would be.
