Thanks to backwards compatibility, you can play classic Xbox One games on the newer Xbox Series X|S consoles. However, you cannot play all of the new Xbox X|S games on the older One console. While there are some workarounds with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you will have the easiest time playing on your Xbox One device if you shop for new Xbox One games.
With a fantastic assortment of both physical and digital Xbox One games, the Xbox One library provides ample opportunity for you to discover the best Xbox One games for yourself. You can shop by type—such as first-person shooter games, role-playing games or racing games. You can also search for new Xbox One games by franchise. Some of the most popular game franchises include Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty and, of course, Halo.
Finding the best Xbox One games for you comes down to finding styles and mechanics that you like.
