A 4-ohm DVC subwoofer can be wired in series for an 8-ohm load or in parallel for a 2-ohm load. Series wiring connects the positive terminal of one coil to the amplifier and the negative to the positive of the second coil, with the remaining negative going to the amplifier. Parallel wiring connects both positive terminals to the amplifier’s positive and both negatives to the amplifier’s negative.
