"The unit works well - I did a full surface test with Windows Disk Manager. However it is a little slow to start up when first plugged in, and at times it seeks when one might not expect it to - there are a LOT of smarts in there doing stuff....The drive work properly and provided the extra disk space, backup and Recovery Service. Would purchase this Seagate expansion drive again. "

"You need to go into "Computer Management" and then go into "Disk Management" to correctly format and use this SSD!...And you will ave to activate every one of these drives from the windows hard disk manager. It's not just a plug and play."

"So, to add the remaining actions for anyone else who received drives that aren't showing up in their file explorer, but are listed as Disk Drives in your device manager: 1) Follow the existing instructions to: Right-click the My Computer icon => Select Manage => Select Storage => Click Disk Management 2) Identify which disk is the SSD by disconnecting it and seeing which drive disappears 3) reconnect the drive. when it reappears in the window, right click on it, and select "Initialize Disk" 4) When it completes initializing, go to the lower portion of the window, and right click on the box that says "unallocated" next to the drive. ...My personal experience 72 GB database backup from PC to Disk < 4 Minutes 3 GB Movie backup from Tablet to Disk < 2 Minutes What I say else."
