excellent lightweight hard drive and Very good price.

Purchased this external USB drive for extra storage. It has a nice small size and is a USB 3.0 drive but numerous drive are about its size and can store files. What really pleased me was the included software. It included backup software but what was really a nice surprise was the lifetime PogoPlug license and software. It allows you to use directories like cloud storage but where your PC is the cloud server. No limit to the amount of files that can be made available remotely. Your computer has to be on, of course, to access the files since it is acting as the server.

I have owned 3 different types of external/portable memory devices. This is comparable to the more expensive versions in the sense that it is easy to use. It works just like your everyday thumb drive. You plug it into your computer and you drag your file to the drive on your file menu (things get slightly more complicated if you have a Mac, but a simple google drive teaches you how to format the Toshiba 1TB). The biggest plus for me is that the Toshiba 1TB does not come with software whose default setting is to prompt you to backup your device. I primarily use it for Music, Videos, and school documents. Using this as a device to backup your entire computer might be a bit tediuos if you do not use the back up app that comes with your computer. None the less, incredibly easy to use and affordable.

A great product, compact, easy to use, and holds a lot of info. Great for storing music/iTunes and pictures also! This is a great deal, so I bought two!

Great storage, light wieght and small enough for my pocket, purse or camera bag. Transfers made easy between , phone, laptop and pc, and my camera. just wish the cord was longer only get a foot of cord which sometimes is a problem

HDD is easy to use and light, thus far since purchase I've not encountered any problems. It's capacity allows for me to plug it into my Blueray player and watched movies I've stored in it.

Great hard drive, but the back-up software included with it is poor. I backed up my computer when i got this and 4 weeks later my computer crashed causing me to eventually have to re-install the operating system. Sadly i lost almost half of it when i tried to re-install it. I have since gotten better software and i use this hard-drive for backing up my TV. It's quiet and fast thru the usb 3 connection. I'd probably buy it again but ONLY for a storage use. At 49 bucks it was a good deal. Easy setup up and running in less than 3 mnutes

I caught this on sale when I was looking for additional data storage to use with my laptop. Since color didn't matter to _me_, I got a blue one because the black one _wasn't_ on sale but the _blue_ one _was_. ;-) I've already used this drive while at a SQL Saturday (okay, I'm a geek ;-) and it was as handy as I expected it to be. The fact that it is, as indicated in the summary, light weight and compact _makes_ it convenient and the fact that it is fast (I used a USB 3.0 connection) makes it really nice.
