No, Best Buy Totaltech™ only covers installation services on devices purchased at Best Buy and when the installation services are added in the same transaction. However, you’ll save 20% on labor for in-home setup and standard installation of eligible products you’ve already purchased, no matter where you bought them. Questions about purchasing and managing your Best Buy Totaltech™ membership.

Best Buy Totaltech™ is an auto-renewing membership, and a credit card is required so that your support and protection benefits are uninterrupted. You may cancel your auto-renewing Best Buy Totaltech™ membership at any time, and we’ll send a reminder to the email address on file prior to charging your credit card.
You may have set up multiple My Best Buy accounts. To fix this issue and have Best Buy Totaltech™ placed under the correct account, please call 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289).
Best Buy Totaltech™ automatically renews each year, and your chosen card will be charged $199.99 or the then-current price on your yearly renewal date unless you cancel before then by calling 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289) or by managing subscriptions on your BestBuy.com account. We will send you advance notice of membership renewal to the email address provided, including notice of any price changes.
A Best Buy Totaltech™ membership cannot be returned, but it can be cancelled. You can cancel your membership by calling 1-888-BEST BUY (1-888-237-8289) or by managing your subscriptions on your BestBuy.com account. Depending on when you cancel your membership, you may be entitled to a refund as follows:

  • If you cancel within the first 60 days of the initial purchase, or any renewal term, you will be entitled to receive a refund for the full value of the amount paid for your yearly membership minus the value of any membership discounts, services or benefits already provided during the then-current term. As part of this, you will also be entitled to a full refund of the portion of the membership fee that paid for your protection plan benefits, except that a deduction may be made from such amount for repairs or replacement costs incurred during the then-current term.

  • If you cancel after the first 60 days, you will be entitled to receive a prorated refund based on the number of days remaining in the billing year beyond the cancellation date and minus the value of any membership discounts, services or benefits already provided during the then-current term. As part of this, you will also be entitled to a prorated refund of the portion of the membership fee that paid for your protection plan benefits, except that a deduction may be made from such amount for repairs or replacement costs incurred during the then-current term.
Best Buy Totaltech™ memberships cannot be purchased as a gift for someone else at this time.
Yes. The product protection that comes with your Totaltech membership still applies to eligible products you give as gifts.

Here's how it works:

  • When you make a purchase that’s covered by the protection plan with your Totaltech membership, you’ll receive an email confirming your protection plan coverage. Give a copy of this email to your gift recipient. They will need this email to show that their product is covered.
  • The protection plan will remain in your name. You may still receive information about the plan – such as the gift recipient’s claim activity and notices about the plan.
  • The protection plan will continue for up to 24 months, as long as your Totaltech membership remains active. If you cancel or choose not to renew your Totaltech membership, this will cancel any remaining months on the protection plan.
Yes, a Best Buy Totaltech™ membership can be purchased either in-store or online.

Here’s what updated with Best Buy Totaltech™:
  • You get discounts on custom labor on premium designed home solutions purchased at Best Buy Magnolia Design Centers and Pacific Sales.
  • You get free scheduled delivery to all areas. If you live outside of a metro area, there is no additional charge for scheduled delivery.
  • If you were converted from a Beta member to a Totaltech member, you will continue to receive a 10% discount on any subscriptions you are already enrolled in, as long as your membership is active. However, any new subscriptions will only be available at the regular retail price.

If you currently have an existing discount on subscriptions that you purchased under Beta, you will maintain that discounted pricing for the duration of your Best Buy Totaltech™ membership. Any new subscriptions purchased after updating to Totaltech will be at the regular retail price.
Like Beta, Best Buy Totaltech™ is currently $199.99 for a yearly membership, plus tax. On your next renewal date, you'll be charged $199.99, or the then-current price, plus tax. If you purchased Best Buy Beta at a discount with a Best Buy Credit Card, please note that your membership pricing will renew at $199.99 per year, or the then-current price, plus tax, on your next renewal date.
Your renewal date is based on your original Best Buy Beta membership purchase, and your Best Buy Totaltech™ membership will auto-renew on this date. You can confirm your renewal date in your membership welcome email and on your membership dashboard.
Your membership ID number will stay the same. You can find your number on your membership dashboard.
