Q: What is the difference between the 2.1 and 3.1 versions of this soundbar system?
A: The 3.1 channel version has a center channel - a separate speaker in the middle of the sound bar - in addition to the left and right end speakers. This can provide notably better dialog clarity as most dialog (voices) come from the center speaker. With only 2 channels the voices are mixed with the music and sound effects in the left and right speakers.

Q: Will this sound bar pair with Bose Quietcomfort 35 headphones?
A: The Bluetooth on our Audio Products is an input. They do not have Bluetooth audio out.
A: It does with my Vizio p65-C1 hooked up the same way.
A: I'm not sure that the other answer from Vizio makes sense to me, since this is a SmartCast enabled device. The point of SmartCast is to stream over WiFi, so I would presume that it is, in fact, a WiFi enabled device. The Vizio page for this device (http://www.vizio.com/audio/sb3831d0.html) indicates that it has 802.11n. In addition, yes, I believe the point of all of these SmartCast enabled devices by Vizio are to work together, and thus would be compatible with the other WiFi speakers Vizio is releasing soon.
A: I am sure by now ,you have it working fine ,but if you are still on it the ,support.vizio.com,or their ,toll free ( 877 ) 698-4946 hours of operation are on the manual,as I am not familiar with that model of tv . I did need to call them and within a minute they walked me thru,and made it easy as well as another option available also is ,Blue Tooth pairing ,thru the Vizio SmartCast app,and than you could turn your smartphone ,or tablet into your remote.Just trying to offer some info that might help.
