- A:Answer Most Samsung "front load" dryers (meaning those designed to match a front load washer) can be stacked on top of newer Samsung front load washers using the SK-5A stacking kit accessory. To be sure the models your considering stacking are indeed compatible, please check with your local Best Buy appliance associate, call 800-SAMSUNG, or submit a new question containing the model numbers. Q: QuestionLooking at the model 3.9 cu ft washer and dryer.What are the accessories included if I buy both units and to be stacked up?1)The greater the no. of cycle for the washer means cleaner or longer period of time to end the washing process? 2) For energy saving is it advisable to operate both the washer and dryer by gas or electric? 3) If the washer is 3.9 cu ft, have I to get also a 3.9 cu ft for dryer. My concern is if I load my clothings in a 3.9 cu ft and after wash I can easily load into the 3.9 cu ft dryer without having to half my load of clothings into the dryer. 4)I have the understanding that washing with cold water will not run colors easily. When do we use hot or steam wash?

- A:Answer Thank you for the questions. The SK-5A Stacking Kit is needed to stack a compatible Samsung dryer on top of the WF393BTPAWR washer. This is an optional accessory which you'll need to purchase separately. Following are the answers to your other questions. 1) By "no. of cycle" I assume you're referring to the estimated cycle time shown on the display. This time varies depending on which cycle or options you choose, as appropriate for the types of items you're washing. For example, a cold water Quick Wash will take less time than a Heavy Duty or Sanitize cycle with Extra Rinse and Extra Spin selected. 2) The washer is powered by electricity only (not gas) and should be plugged into a dedicated, grounded, 3-prong 120V/60 Hz/15-amp outlet. Whether to choose an electric or gas dryer depends on several factors. Most people base the decision on what their home is already set up for: natural gas, liquid propane or a 240V/60 Hz/30-amp electrical circuit. Cost effectiveness can vary depending on your local energy rates, so I would suggest consulting with your local power company, fuel supplier or your local Best Buy Appliance Team. The Samsung dryers that are designed to match the WF393BTPAWR washer are model numbers: • DV393GTPAWR - gas; for liquid propane you'll also need the optional LPKIT-3 Conversion Kit accessory • DV393ETPAWR - electric 3) It's important for a dryer's capacity to be significantly larger than it's matching washer to enable the air to circulate through a full load of clothes, bedding, etc. The dryer that's designed to match the 3.9 cubic foot WF393BTPAWR washer is actually 7.4 cubic feet. 4) Hot water and steam can be very helpful in removing stains, and can also help to sanitize.
