Works great but random interruptions

Posted by: gte460z from Boston on 05/13/2013This product works great, it's easy to install, and provides great data rates. There is one small con though, approximately once a day the adapter will drop connection for 5-10 seconds then come back up. While most of the time it's when I am surfing the internet it doesn't bother me, there are some times when online gaming it can really frustrate.

Posted by: tandlalndn from California on 05/12/2013The Ethernet adapter was very easy to set up, just plug it in to the outlet and connects by it self. The product is great if you have a large home and need internet connection in rooms that are not close to the router. Mainly got it because I have a smart tv and wanted to connect it to the internet to watch movies but can also use it to connect your laptop, game console, etc.

Excellent product

Posted by: nper from Gaithersburg, MD on 05/06/2013I had a powerline adapter from Zyxel for some time but it was not giving me the speed throughput I needed. This Netgear product was a breeze to setup and it's twice as fast as my previous device. It's rock solid in terms of performance and connectivity. I have had the unit now for several months and it works flawlessly.

Good device if you can't do cable
4
Posted by: JoeyMz from Northampton, PA on 05/04/2013I've use Powerline adapters before. They're great for instance when you can't run cable and you don't want to do wifi. As long as the two outlets where they are plugged into are on the same panel, you're ok. In this case I was lucky that the basement outlet was. Unfortunately do to the old wiring in the walls, we didn't get the speeds I was expected. Not the devices fault but I thought by now Netgear would have found a way to maintain speeds even with old wiring. In either case it worked and the systems are networked together and on the internet.
