A great follow-up to White Version! Lots of new features and Pokemon available to catch. If you have a 3DS, you can catch Pokemon on the Dream Radar (a downloadable mini-game) and transfer them to White 2. You can also transfer game data from White or Black. Since you were able to catch Zekrom in White, you can catch Reshiram in White 2!

This extension in generation 5 is great. I was hesitant to add this game to my collection because I already had Pokemon White. However, I was happy to add Pokemon White 2 because because it contain enough new gameplay, graphics, and story to make it worthwhile. Other things that made this game great was the join avenue, pokemon world tournament, move tutors and other additions. If you love Pokemon, you should get White 2 or Black 2 if you don't have Pokemon White or Black. Even if you have Pokemon White/Black, adding this extension definitely more than maybe. Seeing memories from my Pokemon White game talked and display in this game made me teary.

White 2 is an all together satisfying Pokémon game. Following the same plot and similar storyline to almost all other Pokémon games it's basically as follows: Nobody becomes somebody by challenging and defeating all trainers and gym leaders in the area. Now though the formula hasn't changed, the graphics and gameplay have been perfected to I believe about as best as the 3DS can currently perform. They've changed for the better a lot of problems I personally found annoying in Heart Gold.
BUT, the problems I've had with this game are the same with all the other Pokémon games I've played. It makes me irate that the best Pokémon you can catch cannot be caught until after the Elite Four. This forces you to trade to get them, or wait and then not really have a use for them. So if you cannot trade, then I guess you're out of luck.
All in all, is it worth the money? Yes. It's a fun and challenging game.

This is something like the 8th pokemon game I have played over the years and the franchise holds up. Lots of fun new beasties to capture and train and an engaging story line. UP TO A POINT. The pokemon games tend to bring you along through all the gym badges and Pokemon League and then sort of stop. You can still level up and some areas are unlocked by defeating the Pokemon League but I often just put the game down and never explore those areas because there is no achievement (beyond simply leveling the pokemon) to capture my attention. But for the while that you are getting to and defeating the League it is great good fun. Especially on long airplane or car trips.

This is my first Pokemon game since Diamond and Pearl and honestly they have made a lot of improvements compared to the old generations. The storyline is a lot better than what I'm used to from the old game but I found a lot of the new pokemon uninspired. In some cases, it feels like they almost gave up.
That being said, it's a pretty good game and even though it's titled White 2, the game does a good job of explaining to you throughout the story what happened in White 1 in case you never played it.

It has a great story, but after you beat the elite four the game gets very hard. The game also forces you to battle pokemon with likewise levels, because experience gains differ between pokemon with the same level and pokemon with higher or lower levels.
