FANTASTIC lens!
There are some Canon L series lenses that leave users underwhelmed at the quality and wanting more, but for an everyday lens this Canon 24-70mm L cannot be beat. I was thoroughly impressed at the image quality and sharpness that this lens produced over a wide series of f stops with adequate light. The lens focuses lightning fast. The only SMALL complaint I had was that it's bulky and heavy, but that's expected when you're getting such high quality optics, workmanship, and parts.

Great lens for full-frame cameras
I'm not accustomed to shooting shorter lenses (70-200 is my "normal lens"), so I have had to learn about using this one. It does provide very sharp images in the center of the frame, fast auto-focus. Does not have IS, but I have not found that to be a problem. Great lens for capturing wide-angle shots at concerts, although just a little short on reach if you want a close-up (unless you're on-stage). Good street photography lens.

Professional looking fashion images
Magazine cover quality lens. Creative and versatile. Focus is fast, images are sharp at all apertures even 2.8 Wish it had IS because sometimes I get a few blurry images at a shutter speed of 125 or 60 hand held. It's probably me though not holding the camera still. I also wish it had a little more zoom like 125 or so at times. Other than that it is excellent.
