This is the Pixies back to the basics not trying to be too Francis Blackish. The raw sound of the album and grinding pace of the songs move quickly into harmonious melodies and deep nuances of early Pixies. New bassist Paz Lenchantin has the haunting voice of a Siren and nails it on "All I Think About Now". The Pixies have stood the test of time defiantly and still come up on top with this one!

It's not the early Pixies but it is certainly worth buying. They don't try too hard to recreate their early sound which is good. As Frank Black has evolved through the years the Pixies have as well. Would still recommend their early albums first but this is good.

The Pixies latest Album, that was released on September 30, 2016, finds Black Francis and the group in Good Form! This Album is noted for the absense of bassist Kim Deal who left the Band and her replacement by Paz Lenchantin.

This album is a bit better than the last release. Not to say that the last release was not good. It was. But this album has the late 80's early 90's sound of college radio.

Pixies were a great and influential band in the late 1980's into the '90's. They're still at it and sounding great. As always Best Buy had the best price.
