Great PC Controller
Posted by: celestial86 from: San Diego, CA on
I bought this controller yesterday and works very well. Been using it for 7 hrs staright and no disconnection which is way better than their previous product the dual action gamepad. It shape like a PS2 but the buttons are labled like Xbox 360 controller as well the comp reads it as xbox 360 controller. install takes about 3 minutes.

Great for retro gaming.
Posted by: PsyBaby from: MA on
This gamepad is excellent. It is the best controller I know of at the moment for retro gaming. I am running Vista and it installed without any problems. The profiler software is great. With the switch on the back of the controller set to "D" you can map all the controls to keyboard keys. This means you can play old adventure games like Ultima IV almost entirely without using the keyboard. The switch on the back must be set to "D" to use the profiler software. Also pressing the mode button on the top will swap the D pad and left analog stick.
The xbox controller does feel more sturdy but the Logitech feels fine. I don't get the impression the buttons or sticks will fail soon. For regular gaming I would prefer the xbox 360's D pad placement. The D pad does seem a bit flimsy.
This controller has a lot of configuration options, its constructed well and works fine. As far as I know it is the choice for retro gaming.

The Logitech F310 is a must have product.

Works for all my Emulators, NES, SNES, Sega Genisis, N64, and Nintendo DS.
I used it with Windows XP Professional SP3, needed to install the software, and configured the controlls in my emulators, and works 100%.
I used it with Windows 7 Ultimate, didn't need to install the software for the controller, and configured the controlls in my emulators, and works 100%.
There is absolutly nothing wrong with this controller. Doesn't need Batteries, has a decent cord length, and works flawlessly.
Thank You BestBuy, well worth $26.99, after tax.
I did a video tutorial on YouTube using this controller, can play all the games I want now, Thank You So much.
Don't go to GameStop, Don't Go to EBGames, they SUCK. BestBuy Pwnes RadioShack and GameStop / EBGames.
Don't get a wireless controller, unless your willing to spend about 40 to 50 bucks on rechargable battereies, this controller is the best,.
My old controller even works with a Mac OS X, and Emulators.

Superb alternative to the pricier 360 Controller
Posted by: Vitalidex from: Central, IL on
More and more PC games are supporting the 360 Controller for WIndows. Logitech took advantage of this and made a controller with the button layout of the 360 Controller, and the shape of a PS3 controller. It is excellent. It read as a 360 controller when I initially plugged it in. Worked fine for my games. No more mapping keys, like with my old RumblePad. No, since most of my games support the 360 controller, everything just works. Excellent product. It even has a kool little switch on the underside that changes it's layout from the 360 Controller to the "Logitech Dual Action", which is helpful in many situations.

This was the perfect gamepad when I upgraded my PC.
Smooth controls, dual triggers, dual sticks and really good software.
Great for racing & sports games and for FPS games. Inexpensive and comfortable so it;s a good gamepad for those getting started

Works great for the price - No complaints!
Posted by: hockeycanuckjc from: Citrus Heights,CA on
I play all sorts of games like Sonic Mega Collection Plus, Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast, Lego Star Wars 2 , Lego Indiana Jones, and I can flip the switch to accommodate any game if one mode does not work. Installing the Gamepad was easy. This controller is essentially two products in one. An XBOX 360 Controller, and a Logitech Dual Action Gamepad. Flipping the switch toggles these modes. It also works great with classic game emulators and it was easy to configure. Really do reccomend this for people with Netbooks, its like having a portable game station in your bag with a 10 inch screen.

I reccomend it!
Posted by: gosteelers11 from: Long Beach, CA on
The controller itself has a great design. Installing it and getting it to work on my computer was a breeze. I play some sports games on my computer and the controller has taken the burden of having to use the keyboard away. The top 4 buttons, also known as the triggers, however, seem a bit flimsy. Not terrible, but they seem like they would be the first to break over time. Other than that, it works perfectly!
So far, no problems at all and I highly reccomend this product!!

Not a whole lot of options
Posted by: Cole from: Bend, OR on
There aren't a whole lot of options for computer game pads, if you're trying to avoid the Microsoft brand. This is worth the money provided you can catch it on sale. There isn't very much finger room under the controller which gets annoying in a longer gaming session but the controller itself feels solid enough to throw against the wall a few times in fits of rage when you need to blame your sub-par gaming skills on your internet connection or out-of-date video card.

Buy the protection for it, you'll need it.
Posted by: Nickname003 from: Salem, OR on
I have gone through about 8 of these controllers over a period of about 3 years. They are great, but they break REALLY easily. The wire comes out, frays, and disconnects inside the housing very often. I'm disappointed because I love logitech. However, if you spend the extra money on the protection plan, then you can bring it back in for a brand new one. To avoid these things I recommend buying the logitech WIRELESS controller. There are a few people that don't like it, but it breaks in about a year to two years off everyday play versus the three months with this wired controller.

Not worth the Price
Posted by: LegendaryU2K from: Maryland Dundalk on
This is a great controller, works with any game, has analog and easy to use. However the biggest problem is that the cord is cheap, thus it dies out quick, after 2-3 months at most.
Its not worth the price at all, price should be 9.99.
Buy a xbox 360 controller instead, but buy this at a cheaper price for a secondary pad.
