Q: Will this work for an Xbox series x
A: Not without a powered adapter, and only with older games.
A: If you check the net and the WD web site this is only 128MB cache; not a 256MB cache for the 8TB model. If you want 256MB cache; then you need to order the 10TB model.
Q: Is this compatible with Alienware Aurora R12?
A: I have an R9, and I'm pretty sure they're the same ugly metal on the inside. There should be at least one 3.5" caddy near the top with blue plastic grips to pull it out. Mine was already occupied so I had to replace the one that was there. You can always get a USB 3 to HDD adapter, but you will need a separate power source for anything other than an SSD.

A: Yes and No only way this would work for a PS5 is if the drive was in a external drive case that could connect to the console via usb and even then all it could be used for is to hold the games that isn't able to fit on the internal storage of the PS5.
