Needed so not sitting so close to TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You'll need these so you're not sitting right up against the TV, especially since TVs are much larger and brighter than 30 years ago. Your mom told you that was bad. The NES Classic is especially troublesome with only 3 foot long cables. These give me the length to sit comfortably at a distance on the couch and play, though I still need to get up to hit the reset button to save state. Useful for the SNES Classic, too, despite its slightly longer 5 foot cable length. I use one cable for each of the two systems so I don't have to keep exchanging a single cable between them. No distinguishable signal delay or other performance penalties incurred by use. Well worth the price.

Purchase this item!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are purchasing the system, you might as well go ahead and purchase the extender cables, or at least another controller with a 10' cable already attached. If you're purchasing the system as a gift, go ahead and buy this and/or the extra controller to go with it, they will be even more grateful! The system only comes with one controller that has a 4' cable, not nearly long enough these days when most people have a 40" or larger TV, and tend to hang them on the walls and such. Plus most that purchase the system are going to be around their 30-40s, not all of us can sit right up in front of the tv trying to play a video game at this point.

Essential for Anyone who Owns NES/SNES Classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these wires without knowing that they were compatible with both the NES and SNES classic editions. The addition of these wires make for a much more agreeable gaming experience. I understand developers were trying to recapture the glory of the nostalgia of sitting close to the tv when playing these games with the short wires on the manufacturers controllers. Problem is, TVs were not 32 inches + back in the 80s and 90s. The package comes with two wires, and is very reasonably priced.

Must have for Classic NES
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These extension cords are a MUST HAVE to use the Classic NES console properly. The attached cables are just too short to use considering most TV’s are wall hanging these days. Back in the day we all sat in front of the tube TV and a short cord didn’t matter as much, would HIGHLY suggest grabbing these. After reading other reviews I ordered these at the same time as the system & I’m glad I did. You will be too.

They are a must
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They are a must, if you own a mini Nintendo classic you need these. The quality on these are good no problems at all, no delays. The courts are extra long so you don’t have to worry about moving your Nintendo away from the TV. does the job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple product and works as advertised. Have tested each cable with both NES mini and SNES mini without issue. Prefer wireless in the end. No good options here for NES wireless if you want an authentic-looking NES controller, but there's an Insignia-stamped SNES controller which almost looks authentic (bulky and look is a bit off) that does the job. But if your kids are past the point of yanking on the controller, and hence the whole cord and console, to make Mario further (most gamers started off there at some point), then wires work just fine and these are a welcome addition to the NES and SNES minis unless you want to sit 6 inches in front of a modern-sized television.

Essential NES Mini Accessory
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unless you like to sit real close to your NES console, these extension cables really help you enjoy playing from a further distance. Their are completely wireless options out there form third-party manufacturers, but these wired connections will do the job too if you're not trying to sit more than 10 feet from the console. The original controllers only have like 4 feet of cable, so these (Insignia brand?) extension cables make a big difference. I only had them not work once, but unplugging & reconnecting them fixed the issue. So the connection seems solid, although not impervious to faults.

Q: QuestionCan you combine these two cables to make a 12 foot cable? Like plugging them into each other to create a longer cable. If so, is there lag at all?
Asked by ThatOneCrossover.
- A:Answer YES, THESE CABLES CAN BE CONNECTED TOGETHER TO MAKE A 12-FT CABLE AND WE HAVEN'T NOTICED ANY LAG. HOWEVER, THE KIDS ARE USING IT FOR SNES AND IT WORKS GREAT. I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS ANY LAG WITH OTHER SYSTEMS.
