A: Kindle (ebooks) exists just to do the reverse of what you are asking for. It is do get away from the internet pings and notifications and immerse in book reading. You can always read and listen to music from your phone.
A: No headphone jack, you will need Bluetooth headphone, if for just audible, I would get her a tab instead. Kindle is all about reading “ e ink”, making it easier on the eyes.
A: I’ve never owned the Kindle Fire, but I would assume you’re correct about it being the same except without the color. I also own the Paperwhite and the Kindle bookstore is very easy to navigate on both the Paperwhite and the Oasis. I wouldn’t think you would see much of a difference in the store between the different Kindle devices. I love both of the e-readers!

Q: Have a Paperwhite and love it. Thinking of upgrading to the Oasis. Is it worth the extra money?
A: I was using a paperwhite as well and was hesitant to buy the oasis. I finally make the purchase and I really like it. I like the fact it is water resistant so I can use it in the hot tub or in the pool. And it is really fast and responsive. The lights seem like an upgrade as well. I also like the option for the buttons for turning pages. So far I am happy with my purchase. I am not missing my paperwhite at all.
Q: Does the oasis have adjustable backlighting like the voyage has?
A: Yes, the back light is manually adjustable and also adjust based on the ambient light automatically.
A: Hi, i don't understand what you mean by wifi account. If your kindle is wifi only then you can connect to any available wifi network at any location.
A: The font size ranges from 1 to 4 and there are 9 fonts to choose from
