I’ve never owned the Kindle Fire, but I would assume you’re correct about it being the same except without the color. I also own the Paperwhite and the Kindle bookstore is very easy to navigate on both the Paperwhite and the Oasis. I wouldn’t think you would see much of a difference in the store between the different Kindle devices. I love both of the e-readers!
