Asus M15 RTX 2070 MQ
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is one powerful laptop. It exceeded all my expectations. It’s fast and very powerful. When I first got it though, It ran kinda hot. When gaming for an hour or two, I noticed that the cpu would reach 90c and gpu 85c. It was a quick fix though. I undervolted the cpu and underclocked both cpu and gpu also I turned off dynamic boost. When using manual mode, even in extensive gaming, the temp would peak around 75-76c for cpu and 70-73c for the gpu. (I was playing Assassins creed origin and odyssey). Even with the undervolt and underclock, it was still able to benchmark ac origin at 81 fps at 1080p on ultra settings. Ac odyssey at 76 fps at 1080 on ultra. I did some 3d benchmarking as well and When I overclock the gpu in the armory crate and turned on dynamic boost, it was able to get a 7928 graphic score in timespy, 20974 graphic score in firestrike, and 4666 graphic score in port royal. This is some serious power from the gpu. When I benchmarked it without the overclock and dynamic boost on, timespy at around 7300, firestrike at around 18000, port royal at around 4100. (Still no very strong results) I was contemplating whether to get this or the 2021 asus g14 with rtx 3060 but the sale on this laptop made my decision for me. I got the m15 for $1350 and for that price I was getting alot for what I was paying for.

4.5 Stars. Phenomenal performer and easy looker
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4.5 Stars. I cant give it that but thats my score. Its got a great customization over of under clock components right out the box. Its a great formafactor and looks good enough to be able to use in even the most professional settings. Performance wise its able to run games at 60 frames minimum even on the silent setting that turns the performance down. On the middle setting youre easily able to touch 180+ frames on some games. And If you REALLY let the ponies loose and set it to turbo, than ypull be hitting peak performance capability at even 240 frames. BUTI highly advise getting a cooling matt as turbo will eventually thermal throttle the performance and some headphones as this computer gets very very very loud. Battery life is pretty lousey which is why I'm glad I almost always have it plugged in anyways. Even before I put a more active background, it would last at most 2 or 3 hours on gull charge before dying. This can be mitigated with undervolting the CPU but still it must be said. Performance also falls off with not being plugged in but thats normal for gaming laptops With this laptop is that it when you plug it in or out, the screen can go black for a couple seconds. A nitpicky gripe but it can just make you pause for no reason and to me thats lame. MY GREATEST and top top grievance with this laptop though is 8gbs of the 16gbs of ram is soldered onto the motherboard itself. Why? This makes upgrading ram pretty much non viable unless you wanna lose dual channel past the 8gbs your new ram will be paired to. You'll still get 16gbs of dual chanmel, yes, but past that the computer will have to compensate and act up with any programs or apps that use more than 16gbs or a combination of them you may have open. This is a phenomenal laptop at the original price. At the open box price I got, its an absolutely unbeatable machine and im beyond thrilled at how lucky I was to find it. If I paid the 1500 this originally cost I'd still give it its deserved 4.5 stars

Excellent for gaming, streaming, content creation.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great media/light to medium gaming laptop. It can be a desktop replacement, and runs most games really well at 1080p. Highlights include: + 240hz display and 2070 Max-Q GPU provides some really good, consistent fps on most title at high or better resolution. + i7 processor and 16GB memory for those who wish to get started to content creation and streaming. + Thunderbolt/USB-C 3.2 port with charging capability means compatibility with a lot of docks. + Easy to access expansion: the system has 1 RAM slot and 2 M.2 slots. + Very light, and colors and RGB are pretty stylish. - Only 3 USB 3.0 slots and no mini-DP ports. - Overkill for most Esports games like League of Legends and Overwatch. - Runs toasty during games; laptop cooler strongly recommend. Overall, this is a system that's perfect for gaming, streaming, and a little bit of content creation.

Absolutley worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been wanting a gaming laptop for a really long time now and since my other computer just broke, I thought now would be the best time to go for it. Ofcourse I'm still really new to the gaming world so my boyfriend who is really into this stuff helped me pick it out. I absolutely love it! HUGE upgrade from my previous laptop! its really fast, runs games like a beast, and has good thermals, although, I recommend you to get a cooling pad for it because it does get toasty when running some games. Turbo mode is really loud but I don't mind because my headset blocks out all the noise. Super happy :) I'm a sucker for RGB too so, I love the keyboard!!

M15 Great Desktop Replacement
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The M15 is an awesome laptop, here’s a list of pros and cons. Pros: 1. The 240hz screen on this laptop has amazing color and response for what it is. 2. There’s plenty of ways to tune this laptop to your liking. 3. Works well as a desktop replacement with an external monitor. Cons: 1. The 2070 max-q design may be misleading to the average consumer, do you research. 2. The amount of bloatware on this laptop is insane. 3. The version of windows it comes with can cause issues with Microsoft store and games pass. Overall this laptop is great for media creation, streaming, gaming, and your everyday work needs. If you are going to play any new AAA games or graphically demanding games you will benefit from an external monitor and cooling pad. I gained an average of 20-30fps by disabling the Intel UHD Graphics in Device Manager and using the 2070 Max-Q output through the Thunderbolt port (using usb-c to DisplayPort cable). I also recommend using a Native 1080p monitor vs down resolution on a 1440p monitor. Again, DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!

A great fast laptop!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great fast laptop! Excellent build quality and compatibility of parts. All games are on ULTRA settings. There is no illumination of the AURA keyboard. But it looks better in gray than in black. The quality of the materials is excellent! The 240 Hz monitor pleases!

Q: QuestionCan you upgrade the SSDs?
Asked by Whydoineedaname.
- A:Answer Yes...there are two m.2 SSD slots...so you could just add a second m.2 2280 MVME SSD to expand your storage.

Q: QuestionThe ASUS website says it supports up to 48 GB of RAM. If 8GB is soldered, how do I get the other 40 on there? Other answers have said it has a max of 24GB in order to keep it Dual Channel. Anyone with a definitive answer?
Asked by Whydoineedaname.
- A:Answer I was told by Asus that 24gb max to stay in dual channel. Just get a 16gb DDR4 3200mhz SO-DIMM for a total of 24GB and stay in dual channel. I will say...I'm not sure it is necessary to upgrade since 16gb should be enough for games, I would spend the money and get a second M.2 2280 PCIe MVMe SSD to expand the storage since there are two M.2 slots. I have this same laptop and I love it! I think it's the best cost to performance machine with this small form factor for the money...plus the liquid metal is just another bonus for the over all thermal performance this laptop has. It's flying under the radar for whatever reason, I did a lot of research on gaming laptops and this checked most if not all of the boxes.

Q: QuestionHow are the thermals for this unit, compared to the msi gs66 which I've been hearing runs blazing hot when running games?
Asked by GeorgeE.
- A:Answer They're pretty decent for what it is. Keep in mind it's a very thin laptop so it will inherently run warmer than regular laptops. Mine runs from 70c-85c on both GPU and CPU while gaming, it's hit the lower 90's once in a while. If you use the fans at max speed it cools down very quickly at the cost of noise however.

Q: QuestionWhat resolution does this run at for 120hz vs 240hz?
Asked by Tgreg.
- A:Answer This laptop's display has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, with a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz.

Q: QuestionWould performance be boosted if I added a single stick of 32gb stick to the ram slot? Even With the soldered 8gb of ram?
Asked by Grant.
- A:Answer Yes and no. In ram heavy tasks such as video editing and 3d animation, the extra ram would help tasks run more smoothly. As for gaming, this would mess up the ram channels and cause games to run worse than if you were to just add a 16gb stick for a total of 24gb of ram

Q: QuestionWhat is the battery life like? looking to use as a college laptop, but unsure if I could go cordless for the day (without gaming, strictly school related stuff).
Asked by Oliv.
- A:Answer my laptop lasts anywhere from 5 to 8 hours depending on what I do. That's using it for video, internet emails or word. Haven't used it much in gaming yet. I am very impressed but I be honest this is my 3rd laptop I owned in my life. I don't know if I use it as much as others use theirs. Hope this helps a little.
