Great compact computer for great price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this computer for little over a month now and I can't complain it runs fast and is Windows 11 upgradable. It handles multi-tasking with ease. The screen is bright and vivid at least in my eyes. The only thing is the storage on it is not that big so if you're planning to save images, files, etc I do suggest you getting an external hard drive to go along with it. If you're just saving one or two things and web browsing, email, school work, etc this computer is a great fit.

Good alternative to chrome book for high school
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you get it on sale, this laptop is a good alternative to chromebook for high school students. I purchased on the last sale at $270. For that price, it's a good laptop -- at regular price ($370), there are better alternatives. The laptop has low end specs - Intel i3 1005g1 processor, 4gb ram, 128gb SSD and AC wifi. It weighs around 3 lbs, so it's easy to carry around. There is a front facing web cam (note BestBuy's specs are incorrect where it states no camera). It ships with Windows S but it's a free, ez, upgrade to Windows Home. There is a note that says it will get a free upgrade to Windows 11. While the specs are low end. they are better than most chromebooks in the $250-$300 price range. If you're using this laptop for google docs, word processing, and other basic tasks it works great. Boots up very quickly. While there is no backlight, the keyboard feels solid. The track bad is OK but not great. When I'm using google docs or Word, I get 6 hours on battery. Google docs and Word run smoothly. No issues editing 100+ page documents -- even with multiple styles, tables and references. No issues with browsing internet. Opening webpages is quick -- no noticeable lag. When watching movies I get around 3-4 hours on the battery. I didn't notice any noticeable stutters watching movies on Youtube, Disney+ or HBO Max at 1080p. Setup takes around 15-30 minutes. During this time, performance is sluggish. After the setup is complete, performance for basic tasks is good. RAM is not upgradeable - its solder and no expansion slot. So it's stuck at 4 gb RAM forever. So don't expect super fast multitasking performance -- but it's better than most chromebooks in this price range. Build quality is fairly cheap - plastic, low end screen, low quality camera and microphone. However, for the price, the screen and camera are acceptable and sound isn't bad.

Great laptop for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this laptop specifically to play the Sims and it was recommended to me by a Bear Buy employee. I’ve only had it for about a week now and I love it! The battery life is decent, it’s lightweight, charges fast, and can hold A LOT of storage! :) The only thing I don’t like so far is that if you’re on it for awhile it starts to overheat and sound like a plane taking off, which can get annoying because it’s pretty loud… Another downside is that it took almost a month to arrive and the tracking never updated but it was worth the wait! Other than that, I’m really impressed with it because it was affordable and perfect for gameplay!

Good basic laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this computer for my wife who is a basic user. She mostly needed it for getting online and using Office. The model we got did not have Windows 11 and came in S mode. Had to turn off S mode and upgrade to 11 no issues there. For those that don’t know what S mode is, it is where you can only install apps and programs from the Microsoft App Store which means no Chrome or other browsers can be installed along with many great open source programs like Libre Office, Open Shot, etc…

A Great Little Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Inexpensive computer that has proved very versatile for our needs: word processing, live streaming, and more. We would purchase this again. The price was right and performance is great. I had some initial doubts about the processor but there have been no problems. A great little laptop!

My new daily driver
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This quickly became my new daily driver for non-gaming purposes. Comfortable to type on and fast enough to keep up with what I use it for - basic web browsing and typing. I was able to do some light gaming on it - but it's definately not made for that.

Smart choice for daily uses
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The computer is fast. From power off to desktop view, it only takes a few seconds to load. .The screen is good and clear. The fingerprint scanner is pretty sensitive and reponse time is negligible. I don't hear the fan but I think it is working fine. You should be able to use this laptop without issues for at least a year or two.
