      Great sound

I originally purchased the Soundtouch 10 as I thought it would meet my needs. I live in a condo and have a small living room. The Soundtouch 10 was returned shortly after getting home, setting it up and listening to it. I purchased the Soundtouch 20 series III in it's place and am very happy with it. It has WiFi and bluetooth connectivity which gives me a range of options. Setup took all of 10 minutes and that included signing into my Pandora, Spotify and iHeart radio accounts. Sound is superb, full and rich. Much better than the Soundtouch 10. I also connect my Macbook Pro to the unit via bluetooth so I can listen to the music collection in iTunes. The remote that comes with the unit is fine but I am using my Harmony remote with it and the Harmony controls everything just fine. Overall I am very happy with the unit. The sound quality is much better than the Soundtouch 10. I would not recommend the Soundtouch 10 to anyone unless they are trying to use it in a room the size of a closet. The Soundtouch 20 more than fills my living room with high quality sound. My only gripe is I wish the unit would display the time of day (digital clock) when it's powered off. Nice job Bose, I am very happy with this purchase!

I am a Bose fan and when I found out that they have wifi speaker, I was hooked. I use my Soundtouch 20 every day. But let's be fair and compare its features. The presets are nice feature, where you don't even need to have your phone around and you just need to press the preset to listen to your playlists. Note that it only store 1 playlist into each preset number. Bluetooth is nice. I connect my Lenovo Horizon 27 All-In-One PC to the speaker via bluetooth. Every time I turn on my computer, or wake it up from standby, it connects to the speaker right away. (Also a bad thing when I'm listening to my Spotify, the music was interrupted and it connects to the PC which has no sound yet, until you play something. If I want to go back to my Spotify, I just hit 1 of the preset number). The remote is a good thing to have. You can press 1 of the 6 presets, pause music, or skip to next song. It does not need direct contact to the speaker to work. I have not tried the Airplay feature yet so not sure how it works. It has a AUX connection, which is good to connect your TV or other source to the speaker. And don't forget, this one has the quality sound, which is expected from Bose. You can adjust the Base from the controller App. No treble adjustment, however. No distortion when turn on max. It is overall a nice sound in a nice package. Now my only problem is to fork out $200 for another Soundtouch speaker :-(

        Bose support

Thank you for being a loyal Bose customer. We appreciate the detailed review explaining the many ways in which you are enjoying our SoundTouch speakers. There are a few things that we'd like to help with. The bass on these speakers is adjustable through the SoundTouch app. In the SoundTouch app, choose EXPLORE > SETTINGS > System settings. Select the system to adjust. In the BASS ADJUSTMENT section, use the + and - buttons to adjust the bass level. We also have a helpful article to help with Bluetooth rebroadcasting for any music source:  http://bit.ly/1YPpS2v If you'd like help making that happen, you can reach our dedicated line for Soundtouch wireless specialists at 800-905-2156 and we’ll be able to help you with that. Not Consistent but Love It Anyway

I have purchased the Bose Wave, 10 and 20 for my home audio system, and now about to purchase the 30. The sound quality just can't be beat, from the smallest speaker and up. However, I do NOT love the Soundtouch App--I spend way too much time reinstalling it because after some time it doesn't recognize my speakers. Total craziness. Anyway, because the product is great and works beautifully when it does work, I am going to take some time and get on the phone with Bose (per the instructions in this forum) and have someone walk me through the process. I have avoided calling because I don't have the time to spend on this issue. I have called before but that was at initial setup and not to this degree. Since I can also use the speakers separately, that is an option that I choose regularly. Each speaker has 6 presets so it allows for tons of stations if you have multiple speakers plus Pandora, Spotify (my favorite), SiriusXM and others. When it's time for a party, I MUST have the full blowout sound playing simultaneously (for indoors and out) and it does not disappoint--I really don't even need all of the speakers for this effect. I don't think the competition can measure up; I spent a lot of time going back and forth trying to decide before purchasing. The speakers are sleek, gorgeous and fit in most spaces with a rich, crisp sound. I made the right decision...

I was at a Best Buy store when deciding to purchase a speaker system and the sales person DID NOT recommend Bose, saying that it was not that good and was difficult to set up! He was pushing the Sono Sound System pretty hard. I used the demonstration feature at the store and thought the sound was good. My first purchase was the smaller Bose Soundtouch which is good, but moved that unit to my bedroom and purchased the next larger unit for my kitchen/familyroom area. What I like about the Bose system is: 1. Easy to set up 2. I can play different music in different rooms or I can have them play the same music at the same time 3. With the app, I can turn on the music using my iphone and adjust the sound or shut one or both speakers off 4 The sound is really good for the price 5. The fact that I can add to this system 6. I can turn the unit on or off using the button on the speaker unit and change my music using the preset buttons (great when I don't have my phone near by) 7. With this larger unit, it will show the name of the song playing and the artist. Overall very please with Bose and may continue to add to this system. I am so glad that I did NOT listen to the Best Buy salesperson and did my homework by reading the reviews and trusted my instincts!

My wife loves the previous Bose Bluetooth speakers we have owned. Last one was the Soundlink Bluetooth III. She actually did not want to get this new one, but I talked her into it. We hooked it up and replaced the old Soundlink. Every bit as clear in the mids and highs, if not clearer. Main difference is the bass. We find the bass to be deep (not subwoofer deep but very present) and clean. The addition of the app on the phone and the computer to hook up via Wi-Fi and not just Bluetooth really widens the options for this device. We have it in the kitchen area and can choose from Amazon, iTunes and other music services with ease. Works fine with the Echo (was a little bit picky to set up). Overall, we really preferred this unit to the Soundtouch 30. Definitely good sound from that unit, but we found the bass a bit "too" much for our taste given the application (and our HT system has dual 800 watt subs). All in all, a very good performer for specific applications. Good build quality and lots of connectivity options. Very pleased.

I have an old original SoundLink....and I have a new Soundlink Mini II that I absolutely love (great for travel/staying in a hotel room - great speakerphone, too.). After deciding that I wanted streaming music capability beyond pairing my phone with a speaker, I bought an Amazon Echo and loved it but found the sound 'wanting.' Bought an Echo Dot to pair with one of my other Bose speakers. Didn't like the fact that the speakers went into standby after 20 minutes - wanted to be able to talk to the Dot and have it answer any time. Tried a UE Boom 2 because supposedly it stays on all the time when plugged in, but it was really not the right solution for an indoor, quality sound application. So i just broke down and bought this Soundtouch 20. Ahhhh...finally...quality sound. NO, it's not audiophile quality, but the sound represents compromises that maximize the small form factor. And it will play my Dot....and yes, it shuts down after 20 minutes but at least there's a remote to turn it on...or the app on my iPhone...or the app on my computer. And the 6 presets are awesome for playing my Amazon music or iHeart Radio. It pairs nicely with the Dot. Alas, I ramble. If you are thinking about buying one, just do it.

I bought New Bose Speaker for my wife's office since she wanted WiFi speaker. I bought her the Bose SoundTouch 10 since it was compact. I loved the sound from her speaker plus I also like I can do both Bluetooth and WiFi. I wanted a bigger speaker for our kitchen so I bought the Bose SoundTouch 20. I thought the Bose SoundTouch 10 sound was fantastic, but the Bose SoundTouch 20 is just a little bit better and wider.Good choice for bigger rooms. I did listen to Sono 1 and 3 then compared it to Bose SoundTouch 10 and 20. I picked the Bose SoundTouch 10 because to me it sounded a better especially in the vocals and background instruments. Both speakers, 10 and 20 sound better in our home and office than at the Best Buy show room. The sales clerk told me it would because of the high ceilings in the store. I did read reviews about the SoundTouch system before i did make the final decision. I found the iPhone app very easy to install and run. The preset are a nice touch, especially if you don't have your smartphone or tablet handy. I have no complaints. My wife loves her SoundTouch so much, she now wants one in our bedroom.
