The camera is light and compact, it is a replacement for my previous model that I had had for 7 years.
It has travelled the world and fits nicely into your pocket. It is an unassuming camera but takes some great pictures.
I am happy with my new camera.
It seems to be a very versatile camera. In automatic i does a fine job for those hurried point and shoot times. In the manual mode, it allows you to change the aperture for high contrast, bright, or dim subjects. The camera also has presets for dark conditions and even fireworks displays. Having owned it about a month I'm still learning all of it's capabilities.
Used it for the first time on vacation. Was actually shocked at how well the zoom worked. Picked up the name of a beach grounded boat that was at least 1/2 mile away. All of our pictures turned out great
Ok I am in love with this camera! I am in college and bring this camera with me everywhere. Everyone always makes fun of me since we have cameras on our phones, but having this forces me to take pictures without being on my phone, so I have more fun! It has this mode called creative shot which gives you six images for every picture, and adds random filters, cropping, and makes the pictures look crazy! As in crazy fun!
The only downside is that the screen did break. There is something wrong with the camera internally, but Canon has a year-warranty where I could get it replaced for free. But that would mean giving up the camera for about 2 weeks and honestly I do not want to give it up!!! I always end my nights with a few hundred photos and loveeeee going through all of them.
When I go out or am with my friends, I literally just point and shoot and I can't even the see what is on the screen but I have so much fun with it, and some of the creative shot filters and edits are amazing. I would definitely recommend this.

I have been doing photography for over 15 and is an awful camera. I have had 5mp cameras with no optical zoom that shot photos 500 times better than this one. I bought this because I wanted something compact I can take anywhere but that doesn't work if it can't take crisp pictures. There is pixelation in every photo even in good lighting. I will be returning this camera it definitely is just awful and a disappointment.
I have several PowerShot SX's and I like them. But I've been cycling a lot lately and I wanted something smaller and lighter. I didn't expect to find it to have almost twice the Megapixels as my last SX so that was a pleasant surprise. If you're use to using PowerShot then the User Interface is about the same thing. Design choices come down to compromises. I would have preferred a screen that tilts up but I like getting so much picture taking power in something smaller than my hand with a good image stabilizer capability. I really like being able to carry this little guy around my neck or tucked into a little gadget bag on the bike. I haven't considered mounting it on the bike because I think that the vibrations may be a little harsh for it. I like to stop to take a drink and shoot a few pictures and then attach the images to my ride maps on MyMaps.
A:AnswerI can tell you that I used this camera on vacation to Europe and I used the zoom feature a lot. I also do not have a steady hand. If the zoom is less than 25 times (the maximum) the stabilizer works really well. Once I tried to zoom to the maximum, I had a little trouble and had to rest my arms on a post or rail to steady the camera. I posted a close up of flowers on the slope of a glacier. The zoom was probably pretty close to 20X. I had an image that was zoomed into 25X where my arms rested on a rail. Unfortunately, the web site would not let me upload it as it was larger than 5MB. But it turned out very well. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerIt didn't come with one but I used my kindle cable and it worked fine. It also has its own wifi and an app with which you can upload to phone or computer over wifi without connecting with wire. Was not compatible with the latest apple OS.
A:AnswerYes.. I take a lot of pictures in dark areas (attic crawls etc) where there is little or no light, works great. I would say as a tip and if you seem to struggle with it, I suggest NOT using AUTO, I personally use SCN and select Indoors. I probably take several dozen pictures a day where there is little or no light. I have also taken lots of pictures at night with auto, it does a good job.
