    Better Than Expected

I don't even recall the last Chucky movie. I think it was "Curse..." but that tells you how memorable it was. This movie clearly has some really bad flaws/holes. (Why is the female nurse always there and so skimpily dressed? Oh that's not really a hole but I still asked myself that when I watched it). I loved the look of the film. It's a lot of black and gray with punches of color here and there. If I had to go for production set design this would get a 6th star. Without giving anything away (going back to holes) ask yourself 'were did the key card go'? near the end of the movie. It's really fun that the protagonist is actually Brad Dourif daughter. She looks so much like him it's kind of creepy in a cool way. It's not the original Child's Play but I think it's the best of the sequels even with it's flaws/holes.

Although it takes a little time for the movie to hit its stride once it does it is quite a fun ride and definitely takes the series in a new direction at the end. This one is more horror than comedy, much like Curse Of Chucky was before it, but that's fine. The ending leaves you wondering where the next chapter of this over 2 decade old film series will take it. It's a much watch for fans of the series, those that haven't seen the previous titles will want to get the Chucky Collection in order to know the backstory of previous films in the series as this one relies a lot on previous movies for certain plot points.

I was pleasantly surprised with the seventh entry in the child's play series. Don Mancini (writer/ director# has made a film that is both familiar and original. Fiona Dourif returns as Nica. Alex Vincent returns as Andy Barclay #which is a real treat for hardcore fans of the series). Also Jennifer Tilly is back. This film is definitely superior to curse of chucky and the horrendous seed of chucky. This is a gory, entertaining movie for any fan of Charles Lee Ray!

Despite this film being available on Netflix I love owing a person copy plus I have the rest of the films already and it’s always nice to have a complete collection. This installment was very entertaining and unique. I’m glad they continued Niccas story line and glad we got to see Andy Barclay(Alex Vincent) back in this film. Same for Tiffany(Jennifer Tilly) return in this latest installment. Your either going to love it or hate. I for one loved it and hope to see another child’s play film in the works!

Cult of chucky is the 7th film in the franchise that is also the most different in terms of visual and story and it’s bizzare at times. It’s the goreist of franchise but it sometimes says screw the cannon of the franchise and they treat Andy as a dumb . But it’s definitely a good addition to the franchise even with its issues

First, it should definitely be credited at what the team was able to achieve with just 30 days of shooting and a shoe string budget. This is a very tongue in cheek, self referencing style film that does not go overboard in any direction and really takes the series in a new and exciting direction. I'm already ready for the next one!

I admit this is the first Chucky film I've seen. I never thought they'd be very interesting to watch. This is my first viewing of the series and I actually liked this one. Will I buy any of the previous films? Maybe.....if the price is right.

What can I say about Chucky. Our favorite doll is back and up to his old tricks. This is the most violent and graphic of the Child's Play films, which is a plus for me. As a horror fan and fan of Chucky, this film is a great addition to the franchise.
