Q: does this vent by blowing hot air out of the front of the stove?
A: Hey there, This is a good question. The vent is located in the center of the backsplash area and it allows heat and steam to escape while using the oven. This can cause that area to become quite warm when cooking. Thanks for choosing GE. Mike@GEA
Q: With no digital Display...how do you know the oven is heated to the proper temperature???

Great Gas Range for small kitchen
I like my new Gas Range very much, it is looks cool and the fire flame is so strong, I will recommend it for small kitchen.

Looks nice, burners work, terrible quality
Missing several screws that secure various panels - on the back and inside the oven compartment. Not obvious at first glance, but during the LP conversion process these became apparent. Bottom panel of oven arrived warped. When oven heats up, the exposed front panel above the oven door gets hot enough to burn skin. I am convinced that if I ram it for more than a few minutes it would melt the plastic burner control knobs. The door shuts fairly well, so I don’t think it’s an anomaly or operator error, it seems like a terrible design. Overall, the construction and quality control seems way cheap. Also, it’s a fingerprint magnet, and then burns the fingerprints into the front control panel. For the high price of this very basic oven, I expected a much higher standard of quality. I will do everything I can to exchange this for a different brand. Very dissatisfied.
