Series 1.7 cu. ft. Convection Over-the-Range Microwave
Easy to install & use. I set up the Bluetooth connection with my oven to turn on the fan & light when a burner is turned on. The microwave works perfectly. Still haven’t tried to use the convection bake feature yet.
We wanted to share the fact that there was a minor confusion in the model number of the delivered product to the BestBuy and GE team.
We ordered the GE microwave model number "PVM9179SKSS" from Bestbuy online portal. We got delivered the GE microwave model "PVM9179SK5SS". There is a subtle difference in the model number.
The model number "PVM9179SKSS" has the description that interior of microwave is Enamel based on the Bestbuy website. The model number "PVM9179SK5SS" that got delivered to us has interior Stainless Steel.
Also, we cannot search the model "PVM9179SK5SS" number online, as there are no results found for that.
We wanted to know if the model "PVM9179SK5SS" is a stable model, and if there is any reasons that the model "PVM9179SK5SS" was not found in any public internet searches (like new, or discontinued, or recalled, etc) ?
Appreciate you clarification.
I had to replace another brand microwave that failed and we bought this top of the line GE. About the only thing bad I can say about this is that it only allows 15 second adjustments of time not smaller intervals, drives my wife crazy but if that's the worst you can say it must be pretty good. Got all the usual bells and wistles that a top of the line would have and so far does it all without a problem
old over the oven microwave went both feet up and we needed something quick. i bought this on-line and in less than a week it showed up at the door in the arms of two gentlemen. They quickly and expertly uninstalled the dead microwave and hauled it off, matched up the new one, finished up the installation and cleaned up after themselves. They swept and vacuumed, it was a great total experience. This couldn't have gone any better

The microwave oven is designed for adaptation for the following three types of ventilation: Outside Exhaust (Vertical – Delivered from factory in vertical position). Outside Exhaust (Horizontal).
