Q: Can the RAM be upgraded from 4gb to 8?
A: This model has only 1 ram slot and supports up to 8GB.
A: For the RAM upgrade it very difficult, I had to remove the keyboard, remove the battery, remove the speakers, remove the motherboard and only then I had access to the memory module. I confirm that there is just one memory slot in this machine and the memory module is replaceable, in my case it came with a 4GB Samsung DDR4 2400 module, which I replaced it by a G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB 260-Pin DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Model F4-2400C16S-8GRS. It works perfect. If you don't have the skill you can find any of these computer repair shops or even Geek Squad that they will charge you around $100 for the service, plus you have to buy the SSD (around $75) and 8GB Memory module (around $50). In my case I had the parts and I had the skill, so it was a good deal to buy this laptop.
Q: Can you download Roblox and play Roblox on this laptop?
A: My 11 yr old plays Roblox on it. Not sure how the performance is but i think he doesn't care since he keeps playing and has not complained to me about it.
A: No. We bought it for my wife who started school, installed Office 360, and noticed it crawling at a snail's pace. Get more than 4MB of RAM for sure!!
A: no this computer is not made for gaming. even an old game like the sims 3 won’t run on this. this unit is designed for web browsing mainly.
A: This computer would be able to run Roblox. It would work well for school and such but does not have the specs needed to do more intensive tasks like photo, video editing or playing more modern games.
Q: Can you take the hard drive out to change it?
A: Yes, you can upgrade the hard drive.
Q: I'm concerned about heat issues on the bottom. Does this HD get hot and does it have air vents?
A: It will get hot only if you are blocking the air vents or trying to use this computer for more than it is designed to do. This computer should be used primarily for video streaming, web browsing and light productivity.
