Great case, affordable price, but not crush-proof

I considered buying the Nintendo-branded case, but it was twice the price of this one. I love this case, it has a lot of storage on the inside. While some might complain about the difficulty in removing the switch from the case because of the elastic bands that hold it in place, I find it very nice because it keeps the unit very secure inside the case, so you if you drop it, the Switch isn't just rattling around inside. And it's not hard to remove, all you have to do is pull the elastic bands back behind the switch to remove it. You won't break/snap the elastic, it was purposely used so that you could pull/stretch it behind the Switch for easy removal. The only reason I docked a star from my review is because the case is durable, semi-hard shell, but it's not crush-proof. You put more than 10-15 lbs of weight on top of this case, it will push the inside of the shell down onto the analog sticks, but probably won't break anything at this weight. Anything over 40-50 lbs I would imagine is getting to the point of possibly damaging the switch (or the analog sticks at the very least), even if it is inside this case.

I really like this case, it does a great job of protecting the switch and keeping it turned off in my bag. There are only two things that keep me from giving it the 5-star rating. 1) I realize it is a travel case, but if it was just a little bit thicker it would be able to accommodate another set of joy-con controllers in the top pocket which would come in handy. So if I want to travel with two sets of joy-cons I end up having to either leave one set outside of the case, which they end up turning on every time something shifts and a button gets pressed, or I leave both sets of joy-cons in the case and leave the switch out of the case. 2) The elastic straps end up more a pain then they are worth with the console. You have to lift the straps to get them over the analog sticks every time you take the switch out of the case. I would rather just have the switch sit in that side without being retained.

    Bogus piece of garbage.

Contrary to what other reviews are saying, this product is NOT able to hold the Switch. It's too small to hold the Switch with the Joy-Cons attached, which is what it's supposed to do because the straps wouldn't hold the Switch properly otherwise, and if I did somehow manage to get it in there, it would be near impossible to get it back out again without damaging the Switch. It's like the manufacturer looked at the Switch's dimensions and said "Just add another millimeter onto that." In addition, when attempting to fit the Switch in there, the straps used to hold it in place left a mark on the screen that I was fortunately able to remove after a bit of effort. Very disappointed and I WILL be returning this worthless piece of junk and getting something better. I'd give it 0 stars if it were possible.

I travel for business and this is perfect. I have two games, MK 8 and Zelda, and both of these fit snuggly into this case that can hold either the SD card or the format you buy from the store, up to 16 I think which is for me more than enough. For storage it’s perfect because it’s about the size of the switch and very padded, which means no screen or device damage which is the primary concern. The elastic bands which hold both sides of the product near the L and R joy cons in place is a tad annoying but honestly it’s a safety measure so very worth it. I’d say for both hard copies of your game and microSDs plus a solid solution for holding your device and a small space for accessories this is it...it’s a cheap accessory for an awesome device.

This probably isn't the best case on the market but for the price, it likely is all you need. I toyed with the idea of getting one of the official Nintendo brand cases with a game print on it but for $10 less or even half the price of some of them, this one has anything you'd need. Secure holding for the system with Joycons attached, pockets for plenty of games (the free game cartridge case I got when I purchased the system hasn't been used yet), and another pocket for whatever else you might want to carry. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more room for the adapter. Or maybe I just need a smaller adapter...

This case is ideal for taking my Switch on the go. - Wide enough to hold the Switch with both JoyCons attached - Includes a padded divider that has felt on one side (to protect the screen) and pockets for game cartridges on the other. - Is lightweight but affords some protection. Although it's not a hard shell case, there's enough firmness to the structure to provide real protection if dropped or compressed in luggage. - The lack of obvious Nintendo branding on the exterior makes for a more professional look and offers less of a target for thieves.

Normally I don't gripe about certain pieces of equipment or cases, but this one has only one glaring issue, and that is the straps on the inside of the case. As a design feature, it seems to be meant to make sure that the Switch - and attached joycons - don't flop around needlessly, but assuming the Switch and joycons are attached when putting it in, it makes putting the console and controllers in the case a tedious task, and can be quite a burden to remove once in. The straps aren't necessary as a design feature otherwise, and the case is worth the $15 value.

This case is alright for the switch for the price. The game card slots are okay you just need to be careful with it as I have had a game card come flying out of it. Its also a bit of a pain to get the switch in and out but knowing it is secure within the case makes this okay. The storage part is worthless. no zipper or Velcro so anything that pocket has the chance to come flying out. This is okay for an adult but I would not recommend this for a child even more so if your child is careless.
