I was hesitant about the detergent capacity that is required, but it's perfect because it leaves your clothes smelling fresh! Highly recommended!

New age machine, pricy but seems to work ok.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had this washer for 3 weeks now. Seems nice and new. I was a litlle discouraged on relearning to wash clothes. But the manual is in two languages, so it's not as much to learn as I thought. Wife even used it without reading, just some stuff I passed onto her. I had one load that almost went into a error from the load getting unbalanced. Since I felt like I did not know what I was doing, I was running down stairs to check about every 15 minutes or so. The washer was rocking pretty hard. I turned it off and had to pull the stuff out and redistribute it and everything was fine. Another thing, you have to watch for waterproof things, it says it can mess up the washer. I did wash our bed liner, not water proof but large and padded. A lot of dirt had collected in the creases, so I washed the second time. Same results the second time. Also, if you are a pet lover. We have 3 dogs and 3 cats and they do sleep with us. Not at the same time anyway...LOL I see a lot of hair build up and the hair will not go anywhere but to the dryer. Way worse than the old style. I even shook out the blankets, etc. All I can say, its nasty. Just make sure use a dry sheet in the dryer so the hair is not stuck to everything, I made that mistake the first time. That way it will collect the hair in the vent screen. So in general we decided to keep the washer. Was kind of in the middle of the road to keep it or get something else. So here we are and it could be I/we just hate change. My last washer was 20 years old, I can only hope this one will last just as long... Good luck on your search and hoped I helped with some important info. I like the washer, just not in love with it. And one last thing, it makes the strangest noises. I seen someone saying it sounded like a jet taking off, all true. Not loud, just different

More than we would lookd for in a washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I were never fans of equipment that contain a lot of bells and whistles. Our previous push button washer and dryer lasted 32 years and did a good job. This Washer and it's companion dryer out perform our expectations, but we would be surprised if these machines will last even 10-15 years. They are always an adventure when laundry time arrives, and I enjoy trying the different load settings (I have to fight with my wife to do the laundry - what times we live in).. These play tunes when the wash completes, but we do have to get some better recordings to play back. There is no rotating drum transmission, so I guess that's why they warranty these so well. Wash is clean as it can get. Did have some trouble with heavy load shifting....and did not like the idea that I had to keep my eye out for errors displayed.

Good washer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this washer to replace my old washer that had an agitator. I was skeptical of the HE washers and researched them for three weeks before deciding on this one. It was easy to install. I have been using it for over three months now. I have not had any issues with "unbalanced" loads as some have written about, but I made sure that the washer was level upon installation as others had directed. I also read the entire instruction manual before attempting my first load and kept it handy. These HE washers are definitely different than the washers we all grew-up with. I am now used to all the differences and have washed regulars, heavily-soiled, bedding, towels, and a comforter and all come out very clean. I would recommend using the extra rinse cycle with bulkier items as instructed. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

Love it!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very energy efficient, washes great and the spin cycle is unbelievable, don't have to run the cloths dryer as long, the spin cycle really wrings them out. Extra large tub for comforters, large blankets, afghans, etc.

Nice Washer - Unbalanced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The washer does a great job cleaning clothes and is very efficient, but becomes unbalanced a lot. This occurs when we use heavy items like towels or bedsheets. After we stop the machine and re-adjust it will finish.

Simple to operate, with personal customization
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The best thing if you have children, or even if you don't, the slow close lid will not pinch any little fingers, nor will it hurt yours trying to catch a fast closing lid any more. Turn it on, move the dial to the desired wash cycle, select options if needed, have clothes and soap and softener in, shut the lid, and return when it is done. Easy as that, and easy to do large loads, I feel that I hardly put anything in, even on bulky loads of bedding. The safety slow close lid also locks during wash cycle so it can't be opened accidentally, you need to pause the cycle and it will unlock the lid for you. It has a tub clean cycle to keep itself clean and not just your clothes.

Suddenly, I don't mind doing laundry...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my old agitator style washer with this one. I thought it was going to take some getting used to, but found that to not be the case at all. I love all the wash cycle options, the clothes are clean, and the spinning is far superior in getting the water out. Amazingly, the clothes that I hang-dry hardly have any wrinkles at all which is a vast improvement compared to my old washer. I love the technology built into this washer...it calculates the water needed and lets you know if you've got an uneven load situation. It makes me look forward to doing a load of laundry. And the "end of cycle" tune is a cute feature, but let me also say that when I am on the other side of the house, it's distinctiveness is much easier to hear.

Q: QuestionIs there a way of increasing the water level of a load?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Not sure why you would. The washer automatically senses the size of the load and adds the right amount of water. I've checked, and it always seems to put in the perfect amount of water.

Q: QuestionIs there a spin only cycle?I want to know if there is a spin only cycle, that does not add a fresh batch of water to rinse again.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Select the type of wash you want using the control knob i.e. cottons, permapress, etc. In the middle of the control panel is a selection for water temperature, then another row for other selections. Look for the one that says spin. Push the button below that column until spin is lit up, then hit the start button. It will spin only.

Q: QuestionDoes this machine have a heater to heat the water?Does the machine have a heater to heat the water to a certain temperature? or does it use the hot water supply to it and assumes that that water is hot enough? I am wondering if I should have my hot water tank temperature hotter. The same for cold water, in the winter time, cold water in Colorado is probably too cold; does the machine heat it a little bit to a more adequate cold water for the machine?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The washer doesn't have a built in heater and we haven't adjusted our water heater temperature and our clothes are coming out fine.

Q: QuestionDoes this LG washer use more water than a front loading washer?Have a septic system and I am concerned about water usage.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No it is very water efficient. I bought it because I moved to a new house that had a septic system. This washer senses your load and fills the water level accordingly.

Q: QuestionExtreme wrinkling in all clothes/fabric typesno matter the size of the load, the spin cycle (i have used the low speed), the water temp (used cold and warm) - all of my clothes are coming out severely wrinkled and mangled. This includes all fabrics (even jeans and poly pants). I do not leave clothes in the washer and remove immediately at the end of the cycle. I then fluff my work cloths in a 20 minute dryer cycle and they still come out severely wrinkled. We have had this unit for 3 weeks and I hate it. What an I doing incorrectly? How can I fix it?
Asked by Kim.
- A:Answer I'm not sure of a solution, however we don't have that issue when we run the wash. We do place the laundry in the tub in a balanced and organized fashion (laying the laundry around the tub walls)... maybe that will help.
