Features

Compatible with a variety of Nikon DSLR cameras

Works with any Nikon DX or FX-format DSLR camera with an F-bayonet mount.

Moderate wide-angle lens for compelling perspectives

Allows you to include more of the scene in the frame.

35mm focal length

Excellent for shooting landscapes, architecture, group shots, travel shots and more.

f/1.4 maximum aperture

For optimal light gathering capacity, resulting in clear, highly-detailed images.

Aspherical lens elements for clear images

Corrects spherical aberrations, out-of-focus or distorted images that occur when light rays don't converge to a single point. A curved lens surface precisely focuses light rays for sharp image quality.

Advanced lens coatings for improved optics

Nano crystal coating eliminates lens element reflections across a wide range of wavelengths, while super integrated coating increases color consistency and reduces flare.

Rear focusing system with silent wave motor

Powered by ultrasound vibrations of the motor, only the rear lens group moves during focusing, resulting in smooth, silent and precise autofocusing.

M/A focusing mode

Allows you to switch from manual to automatic with virtually no lag time, by simply turning the focusing ring on the lens.

Accessories included

Comes with front and rear lens caps, bayonet lens hood and case.

0.98' minimum focusing distance

Accommodates 67mm filters

This is my first prime lens that I purchased for portrait use. I currently have a 24-70 and 70-200; which are also amazing, but I wanted to experience a lens with greater precision and depth of field. The lens pairs beautifully with my Nikon D800, and the pictures I'm able to capture are stunning to say the least. I believe this lens has helped me refine my technique, becoming better, while also realizing some of my opportunities shooting with my other more forgiving telephoto lenses. If your looking for a sharp portrait lens, this one is worth every penny.

Purchased for a working photographer. She's tested it and loves the lens. No detectable flaws, easier to use than her prior lens, focus is accurate and at the expected plane. This is now her primary working lens.
