Worth the $$$ for these binoculars
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Excellent bird watching binoculars!!! I researched this purchase relentlessly for months only to have them out of stock when I finally decided to purchase them - which sadly meant I did NOT get to enjoy the beautiful hummingbirds this season :( However I have spent hours examining spiders make their webs and birds nestle down and squirrels taunt my dog with such clarity, such beauty that I cannot express enough through words. A must see for yourself. WORTH EVERY PENNY and I really didn't want to spend that much!

We Love These!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5We researched a long time hoping to pick the right binoculars for our birdwatching past time. Many reviewers recommended the Nikon Monarch 5's. We have been very happy with these. They are much better than the inexpensive binoculars we had before. Wish we had bought these much sooner than we did.

Best Binoculars for the price available - Great Be
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Most bird watching or outdoor enthusiasts know the high quality and performance of Nikon Monarch's. For those that may not, Nikon Monarch's are the very best binocular for the price available anywhere. To get slightly better performance would cost 2 to 3 times more, and the difference is negligible. Paying a little less for some new entrant or off brand isn't a wise choice in my opinion either. These will last a lifetime with proper care.

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5These are by far the best binoculars I've owned. Not the best of course but in my budget and lots of positive reviews and users on YouTube. The home delivery was awesome as well.

Tough and bright
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendUsed these after my Celestrons broke for the third time. I was a bit leery about going from a 50mm objective to a 42mm, but I shouldn't have been - these are much brighter and provide a better field of view. I've used them at night to see deep into the woods far better than I could with my naked eye, and spent a week spotting wildlife with them in Central America - I would highly recommend.

We have had many pairs of binoculars, but the Monarch is the cadillac! They fit the hands so well, and the safety features are terrific!! Highly recommended!!

Excellent choice for a limited budget

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This product is excellent for the average birder. You can't beat the price-to-quality ratio. I have been very pleased; although at first I was taken aback by the movement issues. When I learned how to pull out the eye cap a notch, the movement issues went away.

The binoculars I have wanted!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI bought a cheap pair of binoculars in Ketchikan, Alaska and regretted from then until now that I didn’t get the Nikon Monarch I just bought! Imagine traveling in Alaska with cheesy binox! My sister has had a pair of Nikons for years and has urged me to go for the gusto; so I donated my other pair and ordered these. I COULDN’T BE HAPPIER!! Now I just have to get back to Alaska!!
Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between these and the prostaff

Q: QuestionIs this Nikon Monarch 5 8x42 binoculars an ED lens like the Celestron DX ED 72332? I your description says somthing about light diffusion, but does not specifically say that the Monarh 5 is ED
Asked by FishinDan.
- A:Answer Yes, the Nikon Monarch 5 8x42 Binoculars feature ED Glass.

Q: QuestionExplain what 8x42 means and compare it to 10x50 or anything else.
Asked by Baker2018.
- A:Answer The x that is before the "8" refers to the magnification of the binoculars while the number of "42" after the x refers to the diameter size of the objective bell. The larger the objective size the more light you can let in, which helps when in a low light scenario. The MONARCH 5 8x42 binocular has high resolution to provide brighter, more natural looking images due to the use of ED (Extra-low light) glass but is not offered in a 10x50 size.
