A: During my comparison shopping before buying my grandsons binoculars as his Christmas gift, I finally settled on these NIKON Aculon A-30 10x25. I remember seeing on the NIKON chart of the different binoculars they sell that these are not waterproof and fog proof ONLY water resistant. Not sure about the lenses being aspherical or not. The salesman at BEST BUY is who showed me this NIKON content information chart on the store computer. It was very helpful and there is also a toll-free phone number where NIKON customer service personnel are readily available to answer any questions. I did call them for some other questions I had and they answered the phone quickly and were very helpful. I suggest you do the same. They are very easy to reach and willing to help future as well as previously established customers.

Outstanding Size & Telescopic Capabilities
The size is fantastic. I have a normal sized set of binoculars, but this pair has a size that is easy for me to carry on a regular basis, and the optics are amazing.

nice size for a sightseeing trip
My wife wanted a small set of binoculars to take on her Alaskan cruise. I saw these on the BB website and decided to check them out. I like everything about them and made the purchase. When she got home I surprised her with them and she was overjoyed about the physical size...I was her hero for the day!! She took them on her trip and loved them...good set to get for a purse, etc.
