Bad Design Specific to Battery Cap
Posted .During normal operation (replacing the batteries) a small piece of plastic broke on the battery cap latch. Because the connector springs/coils are on the cap, the unit would no longer power up as the force exerted by the batteries is enough to push the cap off without the latch. This renders the product useless. I inquired via the support email if i could get a replacement battery cap. I was informed that the unit was out of warranty and that i would have to buy a new device. I'm ok with this being out of warranty, fair enough, but having no other option but to throw away a perfectly working device is shamefully wasteful in my opinion. Again the only thing wrong with it is the broken latch on the battery cap. I'm frustrated with Qardio because 1) I believe this is a design flaw, and 2) they offer no options to replace the cap other than buying a new unit altogether. I will be researching other like devices, being sure to pay attention to reviews such as this so I don’t get burned again.

It works ..but...
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. The large brick makes fitting difficult, and difficult to cinch, you practically need someone else to put it on you. The app works great for tracking blood pressure, and allowed you to email that to your doctor, but there's no way to download that otherwise. Also when you email the results to your doctor, it doesn't send the most recent or latest, it sends them all. Which I guess is useful. I just really wish it as smaller, or maybe curved a little to fit on the arm. I'm suspect of the readings because one minute it can be way up and the next way down. Also, you cannot use it anywhere but the upper bicep, which kinda sucks. As a wrist device it would be amazing, but it's also inaccurate at the wrist, or forearm. It works, it's got a nice interface, but it's still very 1.0 it seems.

Intermittent connection issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Sometimes it doesn’t connect and the software doesn’t always show the start button, but once everything aligns, it’s excellent.

QardioArm BP monitor.
||Posted .very easy to setup with iPhone. just downloaded the application and it incorporated the data to my iPhone health app. The power on indicator is hard to know if is on or off. When storing is difficult to know if it powered off. overall is a good unit.

Simple and Accurate
||Posted .I like this device for a lot of reasons. It is easy to use - instructions are simple and fitting it on the arm is, too. Integration with the iPhone app works perfectly. The app has useful features. In addition, it will export the readings into the Health app on my iPhone. I can, therefore, upload my readings to my doctor through the patient portal at his office. This is what I was looking for. As a physician myself I have taken blood pressures on patients countless times. I like this device, I trust it, and I would recommend it to others.

Great Device! Use it every day.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This device is convenient and accurate and works extremely well with the companion App. You can take up to three readings during a session for a consistent result. Blood pressure changes often and this is a great way to take readings at home or for travel. You can also email readings to your doctor and take a friend's blood pressure as well. It uses 4 AAA batteries included.

BP cuff
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. It is okay, but its cumbersome having to pull out your phone and wait for it to connect. Mine sometimes failed to connect so i have to buy another brand. But when it works it it great.

Q: QuestionCan you see the readings on the unit itself, or only on an iphone?
Asked by RS.
- A:Answer You can only see the readings on the phone. It has two modes. In Visitor Mode it will take one reading and display BP and Heart Rate, but it will not record it. In the user mode it takes 3 readings with a 30 second pause between the readings, and provides the average of the three readings as well as record it in a log. This log can then be printed out for an upcoming Doctor visit or sent via email to the doctor prior to the visit.

Q: QuestionHow much does this device weigh? What are the dimensions when not wearing but carrying it in a bag?
Asked by June10.
- A:Answer I can't tell you the precise weight but it's not heavy, less than a typical hardcover book, about twice as heavy as my iPhone. I bought the case for it when I bought it. Case dimensions are 3 1/4" W x 6 3/4" L x 2" D. Unit is 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/2".

Q: QuestionWhat is max arm diameter that the cuff will fit onto?
Asked by JB.
- A:Answer I'll answer the question differently. When I stretch the cuff out it's about 11" from the device to where the cuff folds to secure. When I hold the cuff open I would say the maximum diameter is about 5". Arms aren't perfectly round so it's hard to get more accurate than that. I don't know if there is a cuff expander available for it.
