A:AnswerThey will charge you the difference, and charge you for another protection plan. It was a waste of money, they do not fix, they tell you it is unfixable. Trust me buy the HP warranty from their site. Had I done this, the hard drive would have been replaced (yes I called HP to verify this) and I would not be out hundreds of dollars for the exact same laptops I had.

On the next update the Acer computer sends you, do not accept it; hit "no" or "remind me later". In the computer settings, there is an option to turn this off. Sorry, you will need to search for that; I don't know where to find it - as every computer is different.
