“Just turned on new chromebook and screen says chrome OS is missing or damaged..... Im trying to fix with steps provided with no luck...... Am I missing something? I thought we would be able to plug in and go......”

• You need to press cntrl d. It's most likely that it had developer mode enabled. That is why it shows that screen, you can then boot normally and turn developer mode off.

• You should be able to just boot it up, but yours must be faulty. Please exchange it for a new one or contact HP support for help at https://support.hp.com/us-en.
