A:AnswerThis is just a LCD 2 way one mile range remote. The Viper DS4 it pairs with has a bypass module that’s included in the unit itself. No need anymore to buy that piece.
A:AnswerYou can set the remote to sound or vibrate. As long as it is in range of your vehicle which is states to be a mile it will alert you. I have been in a few building with concrete walls that the range was drastically reduced. Basically if you get where you want to be and hit the lock buttion and the the remote receives the lock confirmation the remote will alarm. Another option would be getting the smart start addon. This runs off of att or Verizon depending on the model of smart start you get and the app will push notifications to you whe. The alarm is triggered.
A:AnswerCan you use your Honda remote with this system? I'm not sure. But I do believe you can use this Viper remote instead of the Honda one. I would check with your local best buy installer. So far I've installed this system in a 2011 Mazda 6, a 2015 Honda Civic, and a 2016 Toyota 4Runner and it works significantly better (distance/ response) than the auto manufacturer versions. This system also offers an upgraded version allowing you to control the car from your smart phone. I personally will stick with the Viper systems as long as they continue producing them. Good luck!
