• I just had it installed. From what the tech explained to me is that it does start and stop engine. He said mine will stay started up to 25 minutes and if I need it stopped before that time period I can stop the engine by pressing the button again and hold a second on the remote. It can also UNLOCK the doors but I tried to lock the doors and it would not, at least I couldn't get it to LOCK the doors. I hope this helps.
