Starter works well and has excellent range. Confirmation tones a plus when car starts and when ignition system is engaged.

Great product! I should have upgraded to it when I bought the alarm system.

If you cannot see your car and it is a good distance away then this is a must have item to compliment your remote starter. The basic key fob is one way - no confirmation you car has started. With this key fob the green light goes on and you know the car is running. Great product and very small for your key chain.

Viper remotes/key fobs are very sensitive. Sometimes they don’t start unless you hit the button exactly right. The plastic loop snapped off and broke since it was defective. We lost the remote due to faulty plastic. I called Viper and the customer service said that wasn’t covered. We had to pay $85 for another one. Couldn’t pair it. Had to go back to Best Buy. Fortunately, the staff had pity on us and paired it for free. Took staff there about 7 times and then it paired. The new remote we bought a “ key skin” on Amazon so the plastic would not break and it gets lost again. The kit only gives one remote. That’s cruddy.

So much better than the one way remote that came with the system. You know when the car starts and that it is running. That’s a big deal when you spend the money to put in the remote start! Didn’t want a huge key fob because I have to carry factory remote with me. This one is nice and small and does the job. Great!!

I was surprised that they had this remote in stock, made an appointment to have it programmed I'm back in business with warming up my car now that the weather is below zero. hopefully this one lasts as long as the previous one or longer.

Before I was using one way remote, that was not good, now I am using this Two way and really I am very happy with this, when I press start button I aware that my car is started or not which is very piece of mind for me, it is more than 100 times batter then one way remot.

Awesome, cleaner look! 1 tap for lock, 2 tap for unlock, hold button for start, even shows a flashing green light every 3 seconds or so to let you know the vehicle is still on!

Definitely an upgrade from the included remote. Has a better range and is two way. And at an amazing price.

I lost my remote starter fob on my car. This remote fob is the one included on my viper unit. Its very easy to pair on mi car and battery last long. It has 1 mile range which is a big plus.

I purchased this like 3 years ago and has been amazing. I love good purchases that are worth their money in the long run. I love the simplicity and functionality. I think I only had one issue with it throughout the years. I think it was out of sync or something. It was a simple fix and Best Buy was able to take care of it for me easily. I don't remember exactly but I feel like it was free too. I got a new car and I'm definitely coming back to get another one of these because factory remote start is garbage. I might even get the next tier up with a 3 way.

Go with the 3 button one. This one seems to have an annoying delay. And you have to press the same button to do everything, not so great.

I bought this remote as a replacement for the original remote glad I upgraded to this remote it works great this remote lets you know that your vehicle is running this remote is far better than the original remote I would recommend buying this one as a replacement or just as a extra remote

We haven’t tested the mile range but will do so. Always starts, the two way communication leaves us confident that the car is running.

Pros: Small, simplify one key operation Cons: One key operation When I first got this remote, I thought it was great. ONE button to press. How can you go wrong? To lock the vehicle you press the button once. To unlock it you have to press it twice. Here's where it gets glitchy, if you press it twice too fast, it will lock the vehicle. If you press it twice too slow, it will lock the vehicle. When it unlocked my truck it only unlocks the driver's door which is how the factory remote that came with the truck worked too but for that remote, you press the unlock button twice. But to unlock all the doors for this remote you have to press it 4 times and if you nerf one of those presses, it locks the vehicle and you have to start over. Needless to say, I manage to unlock all my doors less than a handful of times over the 2 months that I own the remote. This remote cost $79.99. I upgraded to the Viper 7857V model which cost $99.99 ($105 with taxes final total). Spend the extra money and get the 7857V model. It has 4 buttons, one to lock, one to unlock, one for remote start and one to open the trunk. It has other great features as well but this is not the review for that.
