I had the same problem.I solved it by getting an inexpensive sound bar (an Insignia),sound is much improved.

This TV has only 7.5W speakers. Pretty weak if you are not up close. I added a Visio 3.1 soundbar with wireless subwoofer to mine and all is good. Lots of options for various budgets.

Yes, I have this problem too; even if put it at 90 it's still low; I think I have to buy a sound bar.

I bought a inexpensive soundbar to connect to this tv. It works perfectly fine. Connected through the optical output
