You can connect a turntable through the AUX input but you will most likely need to run it through a turntable preamp first, otherwise the input level will be too low. They start at around $20 and are available online and at many audio retailers. They are also referred to as a "phono preamp." They are usually a little powered box about the size of a deck of cards. Basically you plug the turntable into the phono preamp and the output of that into the AUX input.
