Questiondoes this unit play music from a usb flash drive, and how many cd,s does it hold

- Answer Yes you can play "compatible" usb drives through this unit. You can also record onto a usb drive, erase the usb drive, format the usb drive. I record from the cd, radio, Bluetooth, and a turntable that I have connected through the RCA inputs. The unit has room for 1 cd at a time. But you could hook up an external cd unit as long as it meets the RCA specifications of the stereo. The manual for my "CM4530" stereo states the following specs: Aux In: 2.0 Vrms (1 kHz, 0 dB), 75 Ohm, RCA jack (L,R) x 1

QuestionIs the Apple iphone a "compatible device" with the bluetooth tech?I wish to be able to play CDs (does this have a continuous repeat option for the CD player?) and stream Pandora with the iphone through this stereo. Can one do this with this model?

- Answer You can via Bluetooth. The USB input on the unit is designed for thumb drives only. It will report a USB error followed by "No USB" on the display if you plug your iPhone/iPod into the USB port. Hope this helps! Cheers, C

- Answer You can connect a turntable through the AUX input but you will most likely need to run it through a turntable preamp first, otherwise the input level will be too low. They start at around $20 and are available online and at many audio retailers. They are also referred to as a "phono preamp." They are usually a little powered box about the size of a deck of cards. Basically you plug the turntable into the phono preamp and the output of that into the AUX input.

- Answer It does not run on batteries. It has a standard AC cord hardwired to the CD Player/receiver/amplifier.

QuestionHow to use MP3 players with this system?I was able to use bluetooth to sync my Ipod but for night time the bright blue light is rather annoying. The user guide says you can connect an MP3 player through AUX In jack. How do you do that? The provided cable has left and right plugs on it.

- Answer You would need a 3.5mm stereo plug to Red/White RCA plug adapter cable. The Red/White end connect to the Aux in on the stereo, the 3.5mm stereo end plugs into the earphone jack on your MP3 player.

- Answer No, random only works with standard CDs. It does not work with USB drives or .MP3 CDs. Major flaw in my opinion.

QuestionHow tall are the speakers?I have limited height in my entertainment system. I'd prefer to put it on a shelf that is 9 1/2 inches high, but if not possible next shelf row can accommodate a speaker 10 inches high.

QuestionWill not play music though USB PortJust bought this shelf system and when I insert a USB Stick is says USB CH. It will not play any mp3 files and gives me no options. I press the play icon and nothing happens. One reason I bought this was to play music form a flash drive. It is a 32 Gig flash drive, formatted fat 32. Any ideas?

Questiondoes the remote control every feature of the machine ?i have a mini system and the remote control only controls the cd player ...nothing else ev erything else has to be manually changed ..how weird is that ? took it for granted that a remote WOULD control AA features of the unit it came with .... apparently i assumed too much ...cd ..radio ..stereo etc i usually get Sony or Panasonic ....cd players are becoming extinct and mine have slowly begun to break so im looking for replacements

- Answer Yes, the remote control can control all features of the system. You can switch from cd, radio, bluetooth, etc with the remote. You can change the radio stations or change the songs when a cd is playing.

- Answer No.But if you use any android phone or tablet connecting through bluetooth like Pandora apps on their setting has timer mode, your gadget will be off but not the system. But the price of $79.99 on sale is worth it, with good quality sound.

- Answer W= 19.7 (combined) H=8.7 (Speaker height, receiver is 4.4 inches) D= 10.5 (receiver depth, speakers are 8.3 inches) The room behind the units needed will depend on how much wiring is stored behind the units. Shouldn't need more than a few inches.

- Answer The bass is profiled into equalization selections available by pushbutton or remote by selecting jazz, rock, etc. and you electronically select the gain on bass or treble again by pushbutton or remote to further set it to your taste. The adjustments show the gain on a small screen with the word bass displayed and a numerical value, same as for treble. Its simple front belies its full potential.
