Q: QuestionCan I connect outdoor Bluetooth speakers to this system to listen to the fm tuner on my patio ? What is the bluetooth range?

• A:Answer The blue tooth is limited to inbound, from a smartphone or mp3 player with BT connectivity. BT is always about 10 meters or 33 ft. The only way I know of to connect a second set of speakers is through a switch and hardwired. (Driving a second set of speakers at the same time might damage the unit over time.)

• A:Answer You will not be able to stream from your home wifi, only from devices that have Bluetooth that can stream to the stereo. This could include cell phones, tablets, etc.

• A:Answer I have 3 of these systems and don't have that problem with any of them. One possibility is that your system is picking up a signal from somewhere else (like another piece of electronics being used in the vicinity). Try moving it to another room and see if the beeping goes away or not. If it remains, it is probably an issue with your stereo. Another possibility is you have a short somewhere. Try trimming the speaker cable a few inches on end end and reseating them.

• A:Answer I listened carefully in store to both systems, using cd I brought from home. For the money ($110.00) difference, I couldn't tell much difference in sound. Sony does have features the Insignia lacks (clock, timer, am radio), but with this small of a system, it is what it is: a bedroom stereo that has decent but not outstanding sound from either machine. I say save the 110 bucks and go with insignia. It's what I did and I'm pleased. Wait for it to go on sale for 89 bucks.
