A:AnswerIf your Ipod has Blue Tooth Capability it will play on this system or if you have a USB port on your Ipod it will also play on this system. As for using your Bose speakers I would say that it will play them as long as the impedance of the speakers matches the output of the Mini Shelf's output specifications. Naturally you would have to unhook the speakers that came with this Mini Shelf Stereo and hook your Bose speakers in where you unhooked the Mini Shelf's speakers.
A:AnswerI have 6 speakers hooked up to my system. As long as they have Wire on speakers like ones included then you can hook them up. I have mine also connected to my dvd player to get theater sound from movies I watch. Hope this helps!
A:AnswerSure you're downloading MP3 or WMA? I just loaded a USB with mp3's, put it in machine. Selected USB as the source, and it started playing fine.
A:AnswerYes you can I have the speakers that came with the system as well as two tower Cerwin-Vega DX series speakers and two 4" GPX speakers in the system with no problems. They also sound great.
A:AnswerBBob, I put it this way. Decent sound but not outstanding. I compared it side by side with the $199.00 Sony. Sony has a few more features, but not a notably better sound. I bought the Insignia on sale for 89 bucks. For a small bedroom system, I'm pleased with the sound.
