Yes, it should work. I have used VGA to HDMI connectors and connected consoles to the monitors as well. But to be honest with you it's not worth it, get the 27inch 1080p acer for 150 bucks, that is worth it, this is not worth it for gaming consoles because you DO NOT have full high defintion, no 1080p, maybe only 600-720p

While Acer cannot guarantee all cable adapters will work without issue, you might check with Sony to see if their device will function using an adapter.
