• Specification wise there are no differences, the A1-850 is a newer generation tablet. The A1-850 uses a lower watt adapter than the A1-840.

• Huge difference. The IPS display and the glass. This tablet does not keep fingerprints on the screen. I don't know how they do it, but it works. The IPS display is much richer and viewable

• I own both models and the only difference I've noticed so far is the 850 comes with a "float gadget" widget pre installed. Literally that's all.
