To answer your question, maybe. It's a great machine for the price, but you might want something with a better processor and GPU, as well as more memory. Now, a quick and EZ upgrade for this computer would be to drop in 32 gb of DDR4 memory, which you can pick up for around $150.00. Then, it would be able to handle your production software. I feel your pain. I bought this for my son. But I use my gaming laptop to run statistics software.
