No, there is definitely not enough memory, let alone ram for games on this laptop. this is good for surfing the internet and checking emails and running programs like skype. you need something closer to having 500gb of space and at least 4gb ram to run games decently. If they want to run current/next generation games like fallout 4 or dark souls 3 you will probably need to talk to a sales representative to see what you need.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It plays games good that would typically be found on an android tablet or phone but cannot play games found on a regular computer because its not powerful enough for full PC games.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This computer was never intended for high quality video games! This is really only capable of playing games a cell phone can play. If your 16 year old is into league of legends, starcraft, call of duty, ext.. I strongly suggest buying a laptop with a built in video card. sample specs should be: i-core 5 with a 1-2 gigabyte dedicated video card, minimum of 4 gigabytes of ram (memory) I recommend 6-8 gigs. Also a hard drive space greater than or equal to 500gig. The laptop I just described will cost at least $500! perhaps this is a good time for your kid to start a part time job to help pay for a higher performance laptop. I included a laptop that has specs closer to match your needs. *Just so you know higher performance laptops will NOT have the same battery life as 2 in 1 tablet/laptops
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on the games. It'll play minecraft and some older action titles, but you definitely won't be playing this years big action games on it.
