Its possible, but you will the correct cable. At least one end will need to have a mini-hdmi connection. The other end will depend on how you want to connect it to your monitor. I used a standard hdmi connection. These cables can be found everywhere. You just have to know what your searching for etc. "mini-hdmi to hdmi cable"

This product has one HDMI output so you should be able to connect an external monitor if the monitor also has an HDMI connector.
